SOUR DIESEL LOOKING FUNKY , 20 plants in 2x2

Hi,
I am trying to do pheno hunting on 10 regular sour diesel seeds from Cali Connection [ first pheno hunt]
The Sours are in front and shorter in height. The sour diesel I started in tiny fabric pots with coco and transplanted to fox farm happy frog soil in 5by 5 square plastic pots . The leaves on top are getting twisty since I transfered to tent and started the nutrients . The plants in the back are planted in no till light soil and are all different strains and they all look great! Total 20 plants in 2x2.5 gorilla tent. I just started watering from the bottom and feeding a very light mixture of mega crop first generation. I am currently watering the bottom with about 3 to 4 ltrs of light nutrient solution by poring it directly into water proof bottom liner that came with tent. it's crowded but I just flipped the lights to 12, 12
I am taking clones of every single plant and once they are nce clones are rooted I plan on trimming down to single cola,
I'm not sure if the sour diesel was the easiest strain to try , I have heard alot how they can be more difficult to grow . what could be causing the sour diesel to look funky twisty new leafs? Is mega crop salt based ? Could it be the sour diesel needs cal mag?

When the leaves started twisting that an indication the EC was too high. Lower the amount of fertilizer or use plain water until the EC drops a little. I like to use water only with Fox Farms and start feeding in Flowering.

Yes correct ty and the Sour Diesel is grown in very tiny 1 ltr pots in happy frog soil . No synthetic nutes , trying to go with tea to get them thru flower.

You will need to supplement your flowering nutrients when the Happy Frog is over a month old. I am not sure what teas you can use to give a complete nutrient sequence. I will learn from you and thank you for posting.

So the Sour Diesel ones have the happy frog like you mentioned and at least 3 weeks old and they are really not growing much at all . Last night I top dressed them with build a flower and watered in recharge. Today I could not see how they look as the lights were allready off. Running lights at night to save on electric. I rearranged them so assorted
Plants are in front of tent and sour d in back . Next will be a tea I will make out of the build a flower . So I did not really research the Sour Diesel like i,should have . I read that they are not recommended for indoor grow.

Happy Frog and Ocean forest both are very slow to grow plants. All or most all super organic soils are very slow compared to soil-less mixes. The reason is that the organic soil mixes depend on microbes to break down the amendments into usable nutrients.

When I switch to synthetic nutrients from plain water, I use only a small amount of fertilizer with every watering. Then the plants start growing really fast.

Yes I always have used synthetic in coco. The whole soil thing in 20 1 ltr pots is a challenge to say the least . I made some tea with craft blend from build a soil. Going to try it tonight and Yes compared to soil its slow but easier when u have a larger pot just using water only. Pic is yesterday after using recharge.

Made some tea,
4 gallons water
1/2 cup of craft blend
1/4 cup of fish fertilizer
Bubbled all night with air stone
It smelled like something rotten and bubbled over with thick foam and made a huge mess, Hooray !
