sour chem x tom hill haze live 90u bubble hash

Made a bunch of hash from fresh frozen sour chem x tom hill haze. This is some 90u that was washed for thirty minutes and kept in the freezer and only taken out to smoke under the light of the moon or the end of my shift whichever comes first. The bud returned about 8% on fresh frozen buds washed three times using a 90u 70u and 50u screen, one on each wash. It tastes light and dank with no harshness. The high is cerebral, social and relaxed. I save it for night time before bed muscle pain and stress relief. 9/10 do recommend.

thanks for the compliment, I have been working hard at trying to make the cleanest bubble hash possible. Each time I make a batch I've been trying to do it the same way using the same buds so that I can make small changes along the way to get cleaner product. It's interesting that changing the speed of washing or using different tools to do mixing can have a significant effect on the final product. The sour chem haze is the largest yielder I have in my stable so far. I have washed dozens of different plants. I have come to the conclusion when using fresh frozen buds it is the size and shape of the trichomes that make the biggest impact on hash yield and quality. The #1 best trichomes have sturdy short stalks with large well formed heads. Many plants that look very frosty have trichomes with long stalks and misshaped heads. Since hash is only the heads of the trichome the stalks just add mass or are washed away. I spent a lot of time and effort washing high THC% plants like GMO and Blue cookies x Georgia pie, BOG Bubble, Cake Fighter, Sour Diesel, A5 Haze and others. While they have tons of frost they don't have the performance of plants with a even carpet of perfectly formed heads.

I'm not sure if we have a thread for strains that wash well but we should.

I used to have a blueberry that DUMPED and the flavor was out of this world. I think my best yield was the deep chunk with the sandy trichs. That was seriously excellent product.

@Knop, The only difficult part of growing deep chunk is the susceptibility to mold, you have to stay on the IPM for PM where I live. If you have a nice dialed grow room it's no biggie. I greatly enjoyed the plants and effects. Just a beautiful smoke while watching a movie before bed. I'll try to find some pics..

outside in the cold I let five gallons of water sit for most of the day, then added a few handfuls of ice

washed fresh frozen Sour Chem Haze and Moonbeams for 2 washes of 30 minutes with one 93u and one 73u pull returning 93u at about 4.5% and 73u at 1.5% for a total return of roughly 6% and that’s solid

it’s terpy and melts to oil cleanly. The Moonbeams adding a nice candy/fruit terp on top of the more subdued sour chem.

washed 607 grams of fresh frozen Sour Chem Haze and 170 grams of Moonbeams (Sunset Sherb X (apple fritter x strawberry fritter)) for a total of 777 grams of fresh frozen buds for 2 washes of 30 minutes with one 93u and one 73u pull returning 35 grams of 93u at about 4.5% and 12 grams of 73u at 1.5% for a total return of roughly 47 grams or 6% total and that’s solid. The picture is of the 93u.

it’s terpy and melts to oil cleanly. The Moonbeams adding a nice candy/fruit terp on top of the more subdued sour chem.
