Sour 60 , Pink Bud , Blue Streak , Masterlow

I am going to start a summer grow. No it is not outdoors sad to say but none the less just as nice indoors.

I'll space these strains 2 weeks apart expect the Masterlow it'll be spaced 3-4 weeks since it is going to be a seedrun.

Its a soil grow under two 1000w lights with a 12k ac unit in 3 gallon pots but thats all the info so far as I am going to be redesigning my grow space. One light i'll have burning is a Hortilux Super Blue and a regular cheapo HPS bulb.

I started twenty Sour 60's with 100% germ rate all up and above the soil in 3 days.

Right now they are under two 65w CFL bulbs for the next week at that point i'll move them under a 400w Hortilux Blue Enhanced PMH. I find the flowering is somewhat delayed using these blue enhanced bulbs for a longer veg time.

Oh my bloom soil is as follows.

This is per bag of Happy Frog Potting Soil

1/2c Blood Meal
1c Bone Meal
1c Fossilized bat guano
1/4c Epsom Salts
2c Worm Castings
1/8c Sulfer
1 gallon of perlite

epsom salts directly into soil ?!?!?!?

that doesnt sound good, your supposed to dissolve epsom salts into water, then water with that mixture. AND a quarter cup is a hell of a lot. In water you only need like a PINCH per GALLON.

Yes, I know what you are thinking but I have been using this formula for the last year or more and I got it from someone that had been using it for a long time. Now granted it was used on 12/12 strains and not AF's so we'll see but I think that i'll be ok.

That bag of soil is 2 cubic feet.

Great but pictures are better then words but I cannot find my external HD cord but many many crops have been grown using this soil mix. I had my doubts when I first saw it to but after the last year or so.

Sorry no updates as you can imagine they look like small seedlings....lol

When they get closer to sexing i'll update otherwise all 20 are healthy happy seedlings.

I am harvesting my 12/12 plants Tuesday and they hang in the bloom room for a week or so until about the time the Sour 60 need to be transplanted and moved to under a better light source. Which for this early stage is going to be a 400w Blue MH bulb.

Next on a few maybe half at least I am going to do something else that is going to cause shock and outcry from the peanut gallery.

I am going to transplant twice instead of just once at sexing !!!!

Why ?

When you look back at the early days of Lowryder and its early MD cousins that it was pretty much decided that at sexing you would transplant it into its final pot.

But today with these AF strains that are much taller and take days if not WEEKS longer then the LR maybe its time to adjust things some.

So this grow i'll go from cup to one gallon at sexing then 2 weeks later i'll go from that into a 3 gallon. The Blue Enchanced 400w when they are in the gallon pots then when transplanted into the 3 gallon for two weeks more i'll have them under a 1000w Dual Arc bulb 600 HPS and 400 Blue Enchanced MH. At that two to three week mark of being under the Dual Arc i'll switch to a conventional 1000w HPS bulb for the final weeks. I am hoping the Blue Enhanced bulbs delay flowering long enough for the other second transplant to be effective.

Well sumpton had to put me in my place and I am stumped.

I got up yesterday morning and all was swell in grow land. But this morning I get up and all is not swell in grow land anymore. Most of them show some damage. So I am wondering should I just toss and start over with another strain as I do not have enough Sour 60 to start again only enough for a later seed run for more. But I have tons of other AF seed to use.

I have them in give or take 2/3rds Cannacoco mixed with 1/3rd Ocean Forest so it really shouldn't be hot enough to burn them. Just enough feed in the Ocean to tied them over for the first week to ten days before getting a small boost of some N stuff.

I dug out my seed tin and I have 55 Sour 60 seeds left so in a couple days if these do not tun around i'll start another 20 seeds.


Well about as close I can come it was cool to me when I went to check on them so lower then about 98 and I can feel the wetness in the air. No way to tell.....

I have two 65w CFL's about a foot away and I would have thought that it would have kept them warm enough.

Did you ever let them dry out to much? I cold damage would have been way cold to cause that, below 50 prolly less.

I dont know what tht is other then to dry soil conditions. Really hard to tell if you used FFOF, cause that shit is perfect for seedlings and so on. Never had a problem with that stuff.

Yeah it didn't get that cold here so maybe just alittle to dry and my humidity level may have been to low coupled with the fan. I'll just have to work on not letting those conditions all come together again.

I plucked them all out of the ground earlier.

Day 1

So I went ahead with new plugs and placed 24 Sour 60 seeds leaving me 15 for a seed run and all 12 of my Pink Bud seeds marked BP (9). I have some more Pink bud seeds inbound that are suppose to be the best of the best and as soon as they get here i'll get them going.

When those PB seeds get here i'll start them with a batch of Blue Streak seeds.
