Sour 60 Minni... 12 days old?!

Well, What the hell.

I am not having good luck with my 10 sour60 beans, 6 males this minni plant, 1 in the garden about a foot tall "pic2/3" and 2 misshapps.

But yeah whats with this little plant? anyone know what is going down

I am doing some regular strains and 3 White Dwarf Fems right now and I thought if I get more auto seeds I am going to get Sour 60 next, kinda makes me think twice... I guess alot of people have had great experiences with them so I donno...

The one that is outside looks like it is coming along well. How many days from seed?

Mine are 35 and 30 days old today (2 germinated 5 days earlier than the other). My 35 day olds are short one is only 6-7 inches tall and the other is about 9 inches tall but they are super fat and dank already, hard to believe they have 3+ weeks to go! The younger one is stretchier at about 13 inches tall and larger internode spacing and smaller airy buds that arent really "trichy" yet so I guess you never know what your going to get when you start a seed!

Looks like I should get a half oz off the three of them which isnt too bad considering how small they are (dwarf autos). Would have liked more but if I get atleast a half I will not be disappointed cuz I have two Paradise Seeds Belladonnas that are a month old each topped into bushes and have two clones from each so I hopefully get atleast one female wouldnt mind a male to make seeds. Anyway going to throw those into flower in about a week. Just transplanted them and have spidermites so gotta get rid of them and let the roots take hold after the transplant before they go on their two month flowering journey!

BTW have a stealth micro cab with 150w HPS in it so thats why the yeild is small, too.

I just recently bought a Homebox L grow tent (1meter square x 2 meters tall) going to get a 600w HPS/MH and aircooled hood should be really nice. Sad thing is I spent almost 500 on my micro box and have only used it for a month and already upgrading! Havent even completed a full cycle yet in it. LOL Might keep it as a extra flowering cab or a male cab or a clone/veg cab or run some autos in it or sell it to a buddy or not use it at all! Not sure yet but its sweet and super stealth so kinda sad to not really use it to its potential but I want to go bigger for sure!

Sorry to hear about your high male ratio, i just found my first sour60 hermy, not sure what caused it.... But make sure you watch for em!

It may not have been something that you have done. there are two types of hermies really. One is stress induced and the other is simply genetics. A true hermi will grow either pollen sacks and then start to grow pistils or start with pistils and then develop sacks in the main flower.

Your stress induced Hermis usually show a banana like growth from the flower area that has been stressed. A genetic hermi will show balls everywhere.

This plant started off as a male, it was around 25 days old when it started putting out pistils, it has sacs all over the plant, not just at the top, this was the only place the pistils were coming from. Thats why this is where i took the picture....Although they was a power outage i believe it to be genetic... Soley because many others are getting the same results... But from what ive seen the female sour60s are amazing, and thats why i chose them.

Ive seen about 5 grow, 1 that is my own where sour60s have hermied. But usually the females still turn out AMAZING... I wouldnt think any strain would be that sensitive but i could be wrong, i have 4 more sour60 bout to pop above soil so we will see if any more herms appear...

Doesnt look well indeed, its a shame because from what ive seen personally and what ive seen from other grow logs sour60 is one of the most advanced and worked autos available. I mean the strains that went into it are all incredible and the breeders themselves are phenomenal ... We shall see what happens with the 4 i just popped..

Those little ones look like the soil pH was off. I see mulch bits and that can make the soil acidic.

They are pricey, i posted a message in mdanzigs thread, so hopefully he will take notice and answer some questions... But like i said if you get a true female it is surly worth it, ive read the smoke is best in the auto class.. So far ive had 3 males, 1 male was a hermy... i still have 5 plants left...they are takin a bit to sex which leads me to think females, but im hopin for a male still...

Oh and the best part is you will get 12 seeds not 10. Everyone i have heard that has ordered has received 12 which is a good number...

12 seeds as oppose to 10 mmm why are they giving away extra seeds is it cause it was a bad batch and it makes the end user think they are getting a better deal even though the seeds were duff???

after reading your thread and now seeing this 1 i think i might save my 40 boys and buy some super autos instead and wait untill mdanzig produces some female variety

i dont wanna pay top money for shit ive just spent £32 on 10 seeds and i know every single seed will produce me excellent results, thats the beauty of researching your strains

and thats why i was checking out this thread researching that sour 60 before making a commitment

Hey, Sorry for being such a drifter around here.

So I have only had one stress out into a male, the rest popped balls everywhere and right off the go, hopefully the few seeds I have turn out. Unless some unforeseen problem come up, I guess that’s what all of you are kind of here for.

20/4 No biggie it’s nice you have been keeping my thread interesting haha.

This plant you can tell is premo right off the hop, they are very forgiving with the nutes, and it does not smell strong intill last few weeks I have found. We will see, To be honest im not 100% sure of how old the one is in the garden I just wanted to plant it and wait for the sweet color of amber to start popping up ;-) I’m not sure how much longer she’s got. We have had every second day of rain and 20 degrees and every other day +30 - +34. So it’s been damp hot damp hot..... Hopefully we get a week or 2 of the warm stuff and finish the plant off strong.

It is going to be cool to see how this turns out. Could be one plant with 3 main colas, Karmas comin back for all the males i had to chop down!

Here is a shot of a buddy who is doing his first grow, it is an outdoor grow in a nice size pot, it seems like it will be another couple weeks till he final leg. He has been using some Organic 2-5-2 fert every 2 weeks, and thats ittt!! its doing very well for the lack of care and knowledge. We are going to start it on some Flora nova bloom tomorow for the last few weeks. He is also having a problem with allll the rain. Ill keep up-to-date pics for his S60 too.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune with S60. I got a single pack when they were first released, made some f2s, and never came across a single hermie, neither in the originals nor in the f2s. I have exposed them to irregular photoperiods, very hot/very cold cycles, without a problem other than slowing growth when conditions were not good.
All I'd like to say is don't give up on the Sour60s, because they are some GREAT autos... and are great to work with once you've made some stock (ie. seeds)... some friends (not light smokers) have got baked off it without even suspecting it was an AF...
