theres no place like it,well i guess kamchatka is physically similar in terrain and climate, but alaska is a special place for sure, the unique characters you meet, the things you get to see,and sometimes survive through....glad i spent 12 years up there, but my bones are liking the heat much better these days...

I'm born and raised. Just recently moved back and am loving it! Missed my opportunity for the Copper River this year but have had my fair share of reds. You could walk across the Kenai for a few weeks earlier in the summer. Wish they would open up the state forums again...

where u at bro....i d like to settle back in kenai or soldotna....but prolly more like sterling....or maybe homer...i dunno

ill take a kenai red over a copper river red all day...just a preferance. but nuthin wrong w/ copper river red just a bit over hyped

I love it up here, wouldn't live anywhere else. Pinks are sea maggots, plain and simple. I used to work in SE and we had white kings all the time, I never noticed any difference in taste. I had a pretty good year this year, got a goat, a 145lb butt, and the first deer of the year. If I could pick anywhere to live up here it would prolly be Haines, god I love that town. Or maybe up in the interior. Definitely not Anchoragua or Fairbanks though. Too many damn people.
