solar hits are awesome. i love them because i swear whenever i use a lighter i think about it too much and can taste the butane hardcore. the only problem i have with solar hits is that i live in a horribly hot place, and smoking outside in the day is sometimes just too ridiculous. having to sit in 100 degree sun when there is usually no wind, is just too hot. i love the way a mag glass just burns a tiny hole straight through the nug your training it on. a lighter flame is too big, it tends to start baking most of the nug in the bowl. solar hits are just great....as long as there is shade for my stoned ass.
plus, i love to incur my wrath upon fire ants when stoned

You should try smoking inside under a window in the sun... that will diffuse the sun's rays. Or try a smaller magnifier!

German made glass bongs. very expensive. some say they are "upper class",others think they are just for snobs. personally, i would love to have one, but i lack the money.

I remember seeing roors way back when...always had my eye on the roor dealers cup...i heard that the hits were smooth as can be....but the 500$ pipe was way out of my reach...I ended up getting lucky and finding a shop last year that carried german glass on glass pipes without lables!!! I was stoked!! ((The Roor label was alwasys a drawback for me...))


I picked up the 2ft for 100$ and the lil sis for 55$ w/ash catcher...







Before I bought them I put them right next to the 500$ roor... same exact thing...all the way down to the icenotches, diffused downstem, -lame roor label



I think they hit pretty well..but I think they both have to much pipe to em'...my favorite piece is still my 10" grommet pipe lol

ahhh this thread, its been nice and sunny here takin sunrips everday now. taste and efficiency is great. it doesnt have to be a roor lmao. ive ripped solar with the roor and my 40$ tube they both rip good. gotta go take one right now!

just remember to where sun glasses when solar bowling. the white hot spot is defineatly not easy on the eyes.
