I feel like 1L is a good size. Good "bang for your Buck" in terms of their size vs yield. I am currently running an experiment of a 2L vs a 1 Gal vs a 1L in coco to try to see which size i like best in my cab with coco as a medium(yes another one). 1 gal is almost too big...

good to see you CM!! :)
that's really nice - I'm interested in 1L coco... ^.^ let me know how that size work for you mate!

This thread helped inspire my set up

:):tiphat: thanks mate!

mom's transplant:
wappa
being moved from her CD spindle home (12cm diam.)
to a 1l pot.
She's 10mo. old, and was already transplanted from a smaller pot.
(I'm keeping this, again, while ditching the other mothers CK and DM - Ck pheno wasn't soo good, and DM I'll start from seeds in sept.)

I simply tried to remove most of the top

and most of the bottom too

then put into fresh soil

*I never cut so many roots, I have 3 cuttings in case she doesn't recover.
** I added some (1 drop) superthrive to a 1/2l ph water as a first watering

thank you very much guys :) !

update

I've decided to ditch all my clones and the remaining wappa mom:

She will be missed - great pheno T_T

I'll carefully stock my remaining harvest, freeze it, and leave for vacations for now :) plus I got tons of work to do in late aug-sept. (EDIT: this hobby's beautiful but it takes some thought/time)

I'm going to start again in sept.
*hopefully*, with seeds I have (Many sativa bagseed, 4 Durga Mata, 3 wappaXsativa in house) and in this cab as planned:

(^^ It's going to be built from scratch anyways)

Temps have reached all time highs...
here's a random shot from yesterday night, 35.5 °C :-D and that's not even close to the bulb.

Apart from temps, remaining 4 plants are coping well for now:

They're kept as far as possible.

I'll keep you posted on final weights.

hi rooti :tiphat:

glad to hear you are far over 100g already and there is quite a lot to come still

pity that you're doing a break till Sept but luckily it is not that far away ;)

what is the reason of your sudden temp rise?

hope you would share your work on the white&blue cab, eh? :)

stay cool my friend :smoke:

hi Nkots, nice to hear from you :)
temp rise is due to tent in locked room + highest temps in the city (in years!).
I'm still thinking what next setup will be, in detail - but I'll cover it if it is of the slightest interest, definitely :) as I'll complete this one log.
I'm headed to a low manteinance 150W probably, or whatever I can pull from 60x40cm... but a "pause" is needed now, both for holidays and security concerns - And there've been a lot of turmoil in my country lately on the subject, too...

take care mate! :)

*Drooooooool* LEDs for the next grow! =p. I am growing some pretty nice buds right now off ~28w of LEDs heat is an issue of the past pc fans cool my grow fine now. Sooo much quieter and perfect for micro spaces! Cost = :( I think its worth it though

Hey CM :)
I'd love leds, but I've got so much HPS/PLL gear atm, they're up for a future design :)

this next time I may go for simple hps + DIY reflector (plastic beer keg covered in reflective mat) fan + tubing directed on the bulb sucking air out, 1l pots with soil and pump + reservoir, on a timer.

top view / side view - 2'x1.5' x 3' high cab

*just an idea, I may sketch others until late sept
*(with this one I'd have to buy 15€ pump + 15€ hydro tubing 15x spots kit)

I'd like to try without the SOG and vert part, and go monocola - in 3x4, 3x5 array - because I'd like minimum manteinance on this one. Very DrBud way I guess :)
It's kind of stealthier, too, although i'm a little disappointed I'm reducing grow area :-D

2 wappas harvested (3 days in advance - look ready)
They're stretchy because they were raised without cool light alongside.

only two left to go, next week

update :)
just two days drying this time - super fast with up to 37°C-40RH in the room - I felt some small buds almost brittle, but stems do not "snap" so I hope I'm ok.

2 wappas:
11.13g
10.04g

*this two may have resented: smallest pots of this run, lack of 6500k light at any point of their life (stretch), high seasonal temps. And my screwups in general :)

see you next sunday/monday for final harvests, and whole run's weight a couple of days later.

last CK, wappa harvested:

big wappa looks like haven't broken a sweat rootwise, but had unhappy floppy most of the time, maybe too many leaves for the pot to support??

both pruned, should up before leaving and dismantling setup. CK lags a little behind in this pic.

picture.php

^ you can see a burn when a branch touched the bulb - toasted, but the other half kept on growing.
beefy plant nonetheless, may be worth going with some of these here ^

170,68 g total

14,22 g avg.

Setup dismantled. Nice production rate imo; for a "next" time I'd just switch to auto watering and all the plants the same stage.
I really had more bud than I could handle recently; friends were pissed, obviously, too... :D

Thanks for watching! ^ .^
I'll stop until end of sept. minimum (and if I have something worth posting then!) so
happy holidays and take care!!
:thank you:
