So where did Banana come from?

If you cali med clubbers never had this one before you need to hunt it down. incredible weed.

the stone is just a pleasant afternoon smoke, but the smoking aesthetics are top notch. super soft smoke, delicious spicy banana nut bread taste. I think this was even one of the ones Dr. J was really impressed with.

you'll know it if you ever see it. the look and smell are unmistakable. they have this golden olive color straight from harvest, its not a cure effect.

someone once told me it had african in it? I don't know. but it is very exotic and reminds you of when all weed looked different.

this is NOT banana kush or anything like that, this is a rare gem out of nor cal. not anything from a'dam.

If anyone has any credible lineage or even just the story behind this strain I'm all ears. Few know her but the ones who do are in instant search of her cuts.

nah I never got the chance to grow it. I think I remember Dr. J saying it had a 70 day harvest though.

the bud structure is sativa influenced, but definitely indica style rounded dense nugs that stay tight to the stem.

I've puffed a few different batches of banana and it tastes soft creamy banana with a cherry-like fruity aftertaste. I thought it was very similar to c99 potency at first but tolerance buildup was HUGE and it wouldn't get me high after a while.

Probably a different cut than what you are describing. I never got a spicey nut banana bread taste. The bud was very light green colored and covered in crystal. I'm assuming this was what orgnkid found from those 60/40 sag. seeds. I also ran into a banana afghani cuts once but haven't tried the bud. I saw cuts for sale of a banana strain last year at a lake county med club. Now that I know there is a good banana, it might be roadtrip time.

yeah you'll know it if you get it. its definitely not lime green.

that gold color there is standard.

its as unique as trainwreck. the same way you could never get a bag of something that was "supposedly" trainwreck. same thing with banana its far too unique to be confused with anything else.

there are definitely other strains called banana. there is a banana afghan, a banana kush, blue lou has a strain he calls banana, and I'm sure there are others too. but there is only one true banana.

Motaco greetings, Counldnt agree more! such a great taste, and a very pleasant high. i smoked a few bowls of it just today actually! and am waiting on some more.

if you love unique exotic flavors this is one to check out if you get a chance!
smell and great aftertaste of banana but sweet and smooth.

only thing iv had that i liked the high a bit better was some banana diesel i ran across and im assuming it was a diesel cross with this strain banana. if anyone has an idea of where to access please let me know, Shes a winner!

Very true on the TW reference - can never mistake what it is. Also the quality of tw can vary a lot but you'd never know from looking at it :biglaugh: Kinda fucked for the buyer...

That banana you got is also called Bwanana. I've only seen the bud once in my life and i've never seen the cut flowered on the boards or thru my local sources. Kinda hard to get. Here's a pic of Dr JAY's banana/bwanana. R.I.P.

Sup Dimebag  The Banana Diesel you ran across MAY be the Sour Banana. It was created by a guy called Orgnkid and i assume it's sourd/nycd x banana or banana kush. The cuts are out there. Easier to find than the bwanana for most

Also bwanana and Bonana/Bonano or in Cannabible 3 i think..

i did get some of that sour diesel flavor coming off the batch that i ran across, but there was that very dominant banana flavor there. it was grown to perfection as well, flushed out very nice and hit sooo smooth.

if you happen to hear of any particular disp. having these would appreciate ya lettin me know. Amazing picture as well, i should hopefully be getting some this week as well and will throw some nug shots up. Seasons greetings! Dime

I put a few banana cuttings out last july and they exhibited definate preflower sativa characteristics. Unfortunately, I chose too shady of a spot and the yield was paltry. The same planting also included Goo (incredible resin) and a few run of the mill Euro strains, AK, Durban and I do not remember...Earlier planted main patches consisted of Purple Kush and what was not jacked was great quality but lacked the weight.

yeah that bwanana looks like it. thats the other thing I was wondering. if banana and bwanana were the same thing. I figured they were but didn't know.

I'm glad to hear you say its better crossed with a diesel because thats what the 2 beans I have most likely are.
