So I was the victim of a home invasion......

G

Groseph

You know, I've lived in some pretty "sketchy" neighborhoods over the years.

More than once I went out in my yard to see a neighbor "toughening up" their pitbull by beating and kicking it. No wonder a dog like that eventually goes a little psycho.

I also knew a guy who fed his pits only meat (not dog food) because he wanted them to have a taste for flesh.

Do you think that the way an animal is RAISED might have something to do with the way it turns out?

As far as your comments about joyfully leaving an animal tied to a tree in the woods to die... please seek psychiatric attention.

Just for the record...

RAW meat does not make a dog blood thirsty. RAW meat/bones is what a dog is supposed to eat. Tons of mis-information out there, but if you dig around you'll find that an all raw diet (raw bone marrow, meaty chunks, organ meat, etc) are actually what a canine is supposed to eat. Raw bones dont splitter.. only cooked bones do.

A lot of vets disagree with this prey model diet ..which is a clear sign that they are uneducated entirely in this area. A lot of this has to do with sponsors/dog food companies and being fed false info their entire career by people of the industry pushing grain dog food.

Dogs are not designed to eat wheat/grain based diets? Dogs dont eat cereal and thrive.

Raw fed dogs benefit from healthier skin, coat, eyes, and teeth. This diet can virtually eliminate the food allergies most dogs are suffering from.

Anyone who argues that its bad to feed a dog raw meaty bones, etc are just flat out wrong and mis-informed.

I am not disagreeing. I did not decide myself that the reason he was feeding his pets raw meat was because he wanted them to be bloodthirsty... this was HIS explanation, given without being questioned about it.

Whether or not it is of benefit to the dogs is a different subject.

man... it should be standard op...those dog's will kill your children 1 day......they always do.....they go nuts as fuck, one time i was at the local park and the "family'' pit bull tried ripping off the scalp of the "families" little girl?.....it took 6 of us to get that psycho of that little girl.....that "TUFF" badass dog was put to sleep in the worst possible way,we poured fish guts all over his ass ,then we tied him to a tree waaaaayyyyyy out in the hill's where only the bears roam.....ak justice man, women ,or beast.

Look it's shitty you got ripped off & glad you going to straighten out your shit!
I don't believe that a pit bull is probably the best breed to have around kids, because as I believe they were trained to be fighting dogs just like they fight chickens, correct me if I'm wrong, but there are other breeds & dogs in general that are treated well that will nip if nothing else just playing!
But to treat a dog like that, I also blame people for some dogs actions, like a certain person that didn't feed his pit bull everyday "because they shouldn't be fed everyday" that just makes a dog mean & other stuff people do ! But to treat a dog cruelly is for being what the breed sometimes will do is how somebody should go out, dogs don't think like humans do! I could see putting a bullet through the dogs head but really fish guts out in the boonies, maybe some day something like that will happen to the people that did that to the dog! That just makes me sick! Just like somebody does not feed their dog everyday!!!!!!!

Ahh i woke up today hoping that NOTB had been slammed by other IC Members for his vile comments about basically murdering a pitbull.

Needless to say i have not been disappointed :tiphat:

Thanks to all you guys that slammed this POS, animal cruelty makes me soooooo ANGRY i don't even have words for it.

Oh and Norcal considering you report to be an owner of pitbulls i find it incredibly strange you did not make one single comment in your post today regarding these vile words NOTB spewed into this thread about pitbulls. Thats pretty weird imo...

Oh and for the record ive had pitbulls all my life they're companion dogs (people that own them know this) mine is the loved family pet and is around young kids all the time. He even senses they're more fragile and plays very gently around them.. just licks them to death the kids can pretty much hang off his ears.. Same with our 2 cats they're all best friends. I have total faith in my dog that he would never harm another living creature.. He's the most gentle, and aware dog ive ever had.

Peace out

I know pits that will attack anything, and I know pits that are big babies. It's all in the way they are trained.

The problem is a pit is easily trained to be aggressive. And once rewarded by their masters for being aggresive, all they want to do is please them. So who's fault is it really?

Fuckit now, if you know your game is tight, fuck the haters.

I personally run a little deeper level of security, but we all do what we feel comfortable with.

That in and of itself can be a problem sometimes.Be safe. :ying:

p.s. I'm rooting for you for the simple fact you made a very compassioned and humbling statement in your opening post.Don't ever feel bad for putting firewood in the stove, by whatever means necessary :ying: (within reason obviously)

damn that sounds dope Norcal thats a good thing to put some of that dispensary money into....that would also be good marketing too if most patients knew a portion of their purchase is going to fund a dog ranch......i used to volunteer at the pet shelters in san francisco at a place on fillmore st...mostly cats though didnt deal with too many dogs.

We had a bad storm a few months ago and our house was almost broken into bc the power went out in our half of the neighborhood and someone saw us leaving for a hotel with pillows and blankets. (We had to b/c the clones for the the next round would have died, my hubby is a hero for that one.) Since we both had to work, we each took a car and unfortunately our spare car was in the shop, so it was pretty clear that no one was home.

Anyhow, we have Schlage locks on the door that are REKEYABLE and PICK RESISTANT and that is the only thing that saved us. Also, my muscle head 240 lb buddy had tried to kick in the door after he put in those locks and had used REALLY long screws on the locks. That is ALL that saved us. We only knew that this had happened b/c when I came home to take care of our cats before work the next morning, I got in and out with no problem, but when my hubby came home later, he got in, but when he left, the lock seized up and he couldn't lock the deadbolt. We also noticed that the would-be thieves threw a minor temper tantrum and tore off the door bell and kicked at and damaged the screen door. I guess they weren't expecting real locks. It was very obvious that they did not get in the house b/c nothing was disturbed, but it was almost funny about the doorbell and screen door. I can just see whoever it was throwing a temper tantrum. Oh well, the screen door handle has been busted for about 1.5 years since it froze (it's old) in a snow storm and we had to break the handle to get in. Now I'm going to get a really nice one. :) We also got a much better and nice back door and now the temperature in the house has gone way down. Windows downstairs are happening later this month, too.

Needless to say, we put exactly the same locks, the best you can get, pretty much. We also have BRIGHT BRIGHT lights at all areas. We have a tall privacy fence and it is locked tight. And we don't normally leave the house unattended for long.

If we ever have to evacuate the house again, I can tell you that my hubby or I will be here and ready.

And if you aren't willing to out and out shoot someone if you can avoid it, may I suggest that you put a laser sight on your gun? It is my assumption that if someone tried to come in and saw a nice red light on them, they might just think twice. Also the sound of a racking shot gun is also a good way to tell someone that they might want to leave before you have to do something. I have a nice Ruger revolver loaded with hollow points (357) and I'm going to get a mini revolver that works with the same ammo and get my concealed carry permit. I hate to have guns involved with a grow, but rather that than be raped or killed.

And just in case, my hubby got me the 3.5 inch "pocket knife" that the SEALS use. He got the Ka-Bar that the Israelies use for himself! :) We watched that episode of Deadliest Warrior (Seals vs Israeli commandos. If you have Netflix, check it out, you'll be shocked at what the SEAL did with the flippable and legal to carry 3.5 inch "pocket" knife.

Eventually, we're going to have security cameras mounted and more spot lights. Our neighbors are glad for us to do anything like that, so we're lucky. Some neighbors would bitch about the lights. (Like some people who live across a small bay from my parents and bitched about a light on their pier back in the day.)

The best way to keep criminals out is:

1. Lots of outdoor lighting.
2. Excellent, top-grade, tamper-resister locks.
3. Extra long screws on locks.
4. Good, solid doors and windows.
5. Lots of mature, large, spider-filled shrubbery blocking your windows. (Yes, we fertilize the HELL out of all of our shrubs and anyone wanting to come through a window would have to fight their way through a very well-lighted yard and then very dense, mature shrubs that are spider infested. HAVE FUN!)

All of these things are relatively cheap in comparison to guns and security cameras and will also make your house look more legitimate and attractive which will make your neighbors think of you as good citizens.

Some No Trespassing signs are also in order and check what your rights are to protect your property.

NOTB, its due to people like you that the world is in such a mess. From whatever walk of life you always come across dickheads like NOTB. I swear I'd love to geta baseball bat & smack you round the head a good few times, might help...

LOL OMG it's a conspiracy! NOTB is really me and I'm just trying to hijack this thread. Is that what your trying to say? what's there to say on my end?

Contrary to popular belief Im Not here to stir up shit. I just wanted to tell people my story and why it's extremely important to follow the commandments. I didn't and look what happened. Never had an issue in 9-10 years of growing and I thought someone wouldn't be stupid enough to cross me. I was completely wrong.

The whole pit bull thing is retarded. I can obviously tell he's trying to start shit and rile people up. I'm not gonna buy into that. I can write pages upon pages about all the pits I own, have owned and have raised and been raised around. But that sort of ignorance just can't be fixed. I was just having this discussion yesterday with someone. It's just different when you gotta waste your time typing and stating facts to someone that's so ignorant on a message board. I've learned at this point not to even open my mouth about the subject it's just a never ending argument. Let's just say I'll agree to diagree. That's one statement that my girl has taught me and it works.

Instead I'll be launching my collective this year and in the process helping out as many of these dogs I can by donating a good percentage of my proceeds to local shelters and eventually hoping to be able to fund my own ranch to house some on as well. My objective isn't to save all the dogs in the world. But help as many as I can and with that outlook I won't be in a constant state of disappointment. I was told when I worked for the local shelters as a volunteer that it's a depressing industry and when you come to the realization that you can't save them all it'll ease the burden of seeing precious animals euthanized. If I can house dogs destined for euthanization with my own money and let them live out their life in a kennel on a ranch with proper socialization and meals I think my life will be a lot more fulfilling. I'll be talking to my business attorney Friday and hopefully finalizing everything by the end of the weekend.

But yeah, this guys comments do infuriate me, but why turn this into a full on cluster fuck/shitfest? becuase that's what happening. You guys feel free to ream this idiot but Im at the point that there's nothing left to be said here. My objective with this thread had already been defeated. Thanks

Hey Norcal i didnt think for one second you and NOTB were the same person.. geez and i thought i was paranoid

I do believe this thread was started for the right reasons and through all the BS i still believe theres some good information in there about home invasions etc.. So i don't think your objective has been defeated if your objective was to inform some peeps about these things..

Fantastic idea for the dog ranch that gets a big thumbs up from me.

I wish you all the best bro

Stay safe

So what kind of dog is this? I've got a best bud to make.

Most of this story doesn't make sense - like that mtv true life "I'm in the marijuana industry" episode. Wasn't that one an awful representation?

Sooo you're in the biz - you grow at home, you grow enough for people to want to steal and you don't stay loaded? I didn't read if you have dogs or not but what a necessity! First bark, wake up, gun in lock box near bed, home is defended.

If you're going to have your loved ones living in the same house as your noteworthy crop then you better take the steps to make sure everyone can defend themselves. Lastly you better sure as hell not ever put your needs for networking in front of the safety of those you live with.
