I'd just use a tablespoon of dolomite per gallon soil and forget the calmag,if your water is "hard" it already calcified

lime is the shit, cheap too

The Earth Juice Micro Blast is great if you are growing organically as it has ferrous sulphate for iron and nothing with any EDTA. It does not have calcium listed and does have magnesium. The E.J. Bloom has enough calcium from the bone meal in the ingredients on the side and sometimes bubbled hard tapwater is used where extra calcium is desired. The E.J. Microblast has no smell, while the Cal-Mag smells a bit unfavorably chemical to myself. Almost like a nail polish remover product of some kind or another. I add the E.J. Microblast with Ful-mag for extra chelation although is not required and is only added for the soil mix anyway but they do complement each other quite well and still no EDTA's despite the magnesium sulphate (epsom salt) that the Ful-mag contains. Plants seem to respond well and no EDTA's are really even required whatsoever as the plant cannot rid itself of them in the long run and it is likely smoked in the dry plant material itself as but one more chemical that is not flushed out. Everyone has their favorite mix depending on availablility, growing medium and method, and personal preference in the long run.

My tap water sits at around 90-100 ppm. Maybe 2 or 3 ml/gal of Cal/Mag+? BTW, I use PBP, which seems to have less calcium than other brands if hydroponic fertilizer (PBP has 1% Cal whereas GH Flora has 5%). Botanicare's Ca/Mag+ has N plus trace elements that don't seem to be present in PBP. Does anyone think that Botanicare intends for you to use Cal/Mag+ as the equivalent of Gh's Micro? Maybe 5 ml/gal Of Cal/Mag+ and 15ml/gal of PBP(Bloom) would be near to 8 ml/gal FloraMicro 16 ml/gal FloraBloom? All of the above numbers for both brands come from Lucas...don't want to be accused of plagerism. Should I back off any of these numbers due to the 90-100 ppm that are already in my tap water? Thanks ahead of time for any responses!

I should think you not need Cal Mag at all with your tap water reading 90-100ppm unless you are experiencing some kind of Def??

I bought a liter of Cal-Max, made by Grotek ($11.50)
It does have the 2% Nitrogen...but it has the Calcium, Magnesium, and Iron--

Would this product be beneficial for melted winter snow water? People say this is only useful when facing deficiencies, I thought calcium was an essential micro nutrient.

Ppm of coco is 450 (0.8 EC) approximately, melted snow water's ppm is untested.
