How about keeping this thread on topic, if you want to debate about LED's open your own thread, I think Snypette deserves to have her own grow thread staying on topic and troll free.

Hundred Gram has a great point but I'm going to defend my girl from the caveman mentality of certain people and then I will bounce and let Snypette get on with her business of growing.

You're the one that is not looking at the details. There are over 10 LED logs on the site that you can look at and see what's up and there has been plenty of testing done in the world comparing LED's to HPS's. There's plenty of research that you can do to look at LED's in a whole compared to HPS. Yeah Frozen got 1.17 and that is one guy that had a bum test. He didn't even use an HPS to compare his test to, he used a metal hailide instead which has less lumans and gives less yields than HPS. There's other growers on the site that got 4 pounds with 1 x 1000 watt HPS and plenty of people that get over a gram per watt with HPS. My little brother gets 2 grams per watt with HPS's and that includes the AC for the extra watts used. You choose to use only 1 log instead of looking at greater numbers. The point that you seem to miss is that LED Girl says that an experineced grower easily gets 2 grams per watt and that is not true cause no one at all has come close to that but plenty of experienced growers get close to 2 grams per watt with HPS. Getting 1.17 gpw is good, it's nice that Frozen did that but it is the same as putting in an HPS of the same size and you're get around the same weight but you have to pay so much more for the LED's and you have a height restriction because they can't penetrate the canopy like an HPS can so plants have to be kept short. LED's have been around for a while and there is a reason why you don't see them in commercial grows. If LED's were so great, they would be used in commercial operations on a large scale but all the comercial testing that was done by NASA and in California failed. If a normal grower with HPS normally gets a gram per watt, then LED's should give him twice the amount or the lights are pointless. You show one bum grow that doesn't even test HPS and you want to be right but you are clearly wrong and uneducated in the testing field. It all comes back to what LED girl said to many people on the site about growers getting 2-3 grams per watt with LED's and she has all this proof that doesn't exist. You don't want to look at that and all you want to see is your one bum testing grow to make your point that is pointless.

Snypette is years ahead of her time. She's very young and seems to know more about growing and testing than you. Snypette showed me the PM that you wrote her and if you talk to her like that again and I see you at any events like the 420 cup, I'll have to knock your ass out. You know that she is a young girl and that's not how you talk to a female. You need to get your mind right but maybe that's how it is in the mountains that you live in.

Ok tough guy. I'll talk to who I want, how I want. I believe in equality, and I treat men and women of all ages equal. I broke no rules here, yet both of you have violated several. If she wants to participate in the forums, she needs to be able to handle the fact that people are going to disagree with her, and not cry for her husband/fiance/whatever to come to her rescue. You both continually claim that Snypette is years ahead of her time... is that really necessary? It's obvious by her posts, and the fact that you both need to keep mentioning it, that it's not true at all. Keep fooling yourselves, you seem like a great couple. :)

As secure that you think that this site is, I can easily get your address and pay you a visit if I have to and that is not a threat. Don't make me have to waste my energy and money on you. Snypette has no problem with people disagreeing with her as long as it is done in an appropriate manner with a common sense approach. I could understand if you have done some testing and had experience on this matter but you don't and you want to act like you do. People will always disagree on many issues but not in a manner like yourself. All the answers are all over the place for people to come to their conclusions and people who choose to do the research will find the answers. You started this whole thing by coming into here from the start and trying to start an argument. That's the uneducated caveman mentality that your family passed on to you and all the years that you rode the small bus to school.

Two grams per watt with HPS huh? I've been growing for 30 years and have seen hundreds if not thousands of grows. And believe me, very few people come close to 1 gram per watt with HID lighting.

This guy hit 1.4 with his last grow.

And check out the size of his latest grow in Dutchgrowns forum using her seeds. These are beauties.....

You just have to know how to do it JJ. You need to use a bigger foot print with the 1000's and have a lot more plants with a donkey dick high yielding strain like sensi's old Shiva Skunk. Let me give you an example: Using 1000 watt electronic ballasts with Bell lighting reflectors on a light rail with an 8 foot by 8 foot footprint for the reflector and you hang the reflector higher than normal. You grow 200 18" plants in a 64 square foot space and trim off the bottom growth and only focus on the donkey dick colas. I've personally seen an average of 12 grams per plant with the right strain which = 2400 grams with 1 x 1000 watt HPS. When I say plenty of people get close to 2 gpw, I in no way mean 90% of growers or 50% of growers cause we all know that is not true but even .1 percent of growers is still "plenty of growers" when you know that there are 1000's of growers in the industry. There's plenty of hippies in my area that have showed me grows that I could never believe was possible until I saw them and they have opened my eyes.

I'm not doing this anymore.

The two of you have insulted me multiple times, shared PMs (The P stands for Private.), threatened to kick my ass if you ever see me, and you are now saying you're going to come find me and pay me a visit.

There will be no more threats of bodily harm, emails or anything else. Those are bannable offenses here and anymore of it will result in bans. I hope I don't have to go that route....

And it really pisses me off when someone pretends we take such little caution that they could hack this site. There's not a prayer you or anyone else could hack these servers and your trying to get people to think that really aggravates me....

Back to the ladies..

Back to the ladies..

So the veg room was bombed with Doktor Doom again last night. The ladies didn't seem to have any negative effect to the Doktor Doom. They are doing much better now that the damn thrips are gone and are looking healthy and green!

Here's some pictures:

#1 was struggling but is coming along nicely and looking much better (& was tranplanted). #8 was looking like it was about to die, but it's trying to make a come back (maybe because the thrips are gone?) && my leopard slippers!:pet the cat:

Here are some individuals:

Edit: I also started a few Flava Flave x Supreme Skunk!

ya a bit. 8 out of 11 popped and 2 of them also gave me a hard time! one of the two made a come back and is catching up to the rest but still a lot smaller. the other one looked like it was going to die but has some new growth and looks like it will survive but it is still really small compared to the others. I had thrips but none of my other plants or surrounding plants (that had thrips) had the same problem as the sick plant. snype also didn't know what was wrong.:dunno: what are the symptoms of your plants? Happy 4th Jimmy!

Sorry, for invading, but just a quick note...

Hey did you have any troubles germing those C99's? I've got two that are giving me problems.

I just put two C99's in water about an hour ago.

Dude, you wrote that like 48 hours ago and you already say you have trouble germing them? Be patient and don't drown fresh seed in water. Mine all came up in moist soil after 4-7 days.

@Snypette: Good job nuking those f-ing thrips, I hate those fuckers.
Are you gonna top, train, fim or let them go 'au naturel'?
Topping above 4th real internode worked great for me, they grew into nice bushy plants.

lol, good eye honkytonk, yeah I might have jumped the gun a little. I had one with a tail this morning and the other one looks like it's almost ready. I got so used to my seeds germing in such a short time, that I forgot some seeds need a little longer to do their thing. Also I read a couple thread that mentioned the wallyduck (or xyz) C99's needed lots of help to germ and I wasn't sure if these flt's would be the same way or not?

Anyway, it's all good. And not to worry, I've been doing this long enough to not drown anything in water anymore, lol.

P.s. Happy holidays :D

... the joys of growing in soil ...

I grew them to 7 internodes (~1 foot), then topped at internode 5 and transplanted them to their final pots (2.5 gallons). After another week of vegging they went under 12/12. Finished ~3 feet tall.
There're phenos that are a bit stretchier, I imagine they'll be a pain in the ass if left untopped.

P.s. Happy holidays :D

Thanx and the same to you Miss Snypette.

x] i like soil. something about it seeming more natural in my mind. But i still can't wait for the decreased amount of work when everything is hydro! No doubt i'll still definitely be doing a few things in soil for the head though:smoke:
Thanks for the info!
