the roulette wheel lands on black and the cycle starts again

Nah I think green is the one that fucks him according to his "system" that relies on single-zero (green) wheels.

My edit of the scene would go something like him betting his last chips on red, ball lands black, Snype is in hysterics and thinks he lost it all... Then the dealer reminds him that he's at Cache Creek and that only means the black card will be flipped over and that he hasn't lost. Snype talks shit to the dealer and pounds his chest. This is where the dealer promptly and oh-so-effortlessly rolls over a green card.

LOL degens gonna degen...

If you're truly and really "getting robbed" so often, its either an inside job (hmmm, where has Snypette been?) or you're a moron or both.

you couldn't be more wrong. i've done so much for this guy. i would never take from him. But I think it says something when people make bold assumptions like that, about how they are and how they think.

Let's not be the demise of the thread. I'd like to see it kept alive and how it pans out for Snype. Grow nerd, can't say we didn't all see it coming:shucks:

Snype is currently in the middle of an obvious gambling addiction. He won't be able to get help until he recognizes that he has a problem and that it is gambling that is tearing his life apart. He hasn't come to that recognition yet, and it seems he might be far away from it. I kinda understand it.

Drug dealing and other "big money, quick" type of life are major enablers for a gambling addiction. Each time you go broke you are comforted in knowing that:

1) You can have another decent-sized bankroll, soon
2) You made it kinda quick, anyways
3) You might have a "backup plan" in case this gambling trip doesn't work out well, such as $15-20k in hash oil lying around, so it's "okay" to gamble your last dollar
4) You'll bring a bigger bankroll to gamble with next time, so the risk of ruin is slightly lower

... and so on

That kind of insanity. Mileage may vary depending on addict and their values, views and experiences in life.

Fortunately there's a thing called "moment of clarity", where an addict can temporarily break out of this insanity and see their problem/addiction for most of what it is without being clouded by confusion, denial and general insanity. Unfortunately, it's mostly temporary and can easily be forgotten the instant you have wads of spare Benjamin's touch your palm.

Snype,

Hopefully you'll recognize your addiction as the true source of all of your life's problems, but I'm not sure ICMAG will be enough of an intervention for you. Maybe it'll just take time to cycle it through your system before time/age or other events or triggers in life force you to realize what's going on and come to terms. Even after full realization it will still probably be extremely difficult to quit completely.

From the sound of your posts as well as our private message conversation, I recognized someone who wasn't even close to ready to quit, however, so this entire post might not even mean anything to you at this time.

I totally and completely feel your pain, either way; been there more times than I'd like to admit. I feel like we are really the same people in so many ways.

I won't rhyme this time, I don't think people liked that last time.

Wondering how many different hobbies foods or drug type things i need to do in a row to keep from being and addict ? or would that make me a variety addict ? and wondering what my friend ratio should be like how many should i let pick me vs me actively picking them .
