I use a sharp knife or single side razor blade to scrape the seam. 80 or 100 grit paper on a table and rubbing the seed over that would work, never tried it tho. The seam is the key imo. Hard to do with some of the smaller seeds, hehe.

Just be careful if using a blade and do not cut into the embryo.
