I 100% agree with you MJPassion, I'm currently flowering Devils tit and I couldn't be happier with the results. Now I have a small sample of seed starts from him so I cannot vouch for other strains besides Devils tit and Poison Girl. Devils Tit is the tits, that's all I've got to say about that.

a short description
Congolese weeds which include Congolese basin countries. Cameroon, DR Congo, Republic of Congo (Zaire). Central African Republic, Gabon, and even Angola with the last 2 countries proximity countries with trade, peoples and indigenous pygmy tribes which all have been consuming forms of cannabis from what I believe are the beginnings of man.
Many forms of Congolese come from West/Central Africa, lots of red traits, black traits, green traits and lots of incredible hues of colors. There is jungle strains which are long wiry weeds with little dense floral clusters. There is bushy strains with loose floral clusters and there are some bushy strains which look like Indicas with large central colas, lots of resin but definitely not your typical "Indica" I would say African Hash-plant structure would be the closest, Bhangi Congo.
As for my Congolese Black. Its 100 % Congolese 75% is Congolese Black and the other is 25% Republic of Congo (Zaire). The Zaire expresses itself with some red traits in the stems, petioles, and red hairs. With the right phenotype which should have red sap, you should be able to pinch and bring out more of the red coloration to the plant. Full on red phenotypes are recessive and by growing some out and selecting for those expressions, some really cool looking Red Congolese should pop up
The Congolese Black side should yield more green to yellow/black phenotypes with maturity. Lemongrass, earthy, spicy and this exotic terpene profile is present in the Congolese Black. Grow with low nutrients with a balanced soil and just feed water over is veg and flower life. Growing under the sun would be ideal but indoors grow for at least 2 months under lights with a blue spectrum Metal Halide or T5 Fluorescent from seed. Induce flower with 13 hours darkness, if you have the capability to increase darkness incrementally over time you might be able to finish flowering sooner after a good amount of time is used to veg your plant.
the black congolese was sourced from the same person in South Africa and the Congo Pointe Noire cut which has been lost now, so I've heard. The Republic of Congo is the country where the city Pointe Noire is located on the Atlantic coast of South West Africa and where the congo river terminates in the the ocean. The Republic of Congo was formally called Zaire. The Black Congolese comes from Democratic Republic of Congo. Some red traits will come out in the phenotypes, red stems and petioles and various color ranges are possible.
Some Congolese can finish quicker than others and I offer these Congolese Black IX as a breeders, collectors or preservationists line. Its unworked, just selected against intersex traits. In the future releases of worked landraces will be offered with high number selections.
I'm offering original, authentic landraces and pure landrace hybrids for people who want them. It takes me years to select and even get the correct parents to offer these lines to the public. I hope people will enjoy natures cannabis treasures the way I do.
Give them plenty of light, don't fertlize, plant in a well draining medium, inspect the root zone for health, train LST if you need, also grow under natural light if possible to see the colors that nature will show you in the strain. Basically just keep it simple and she will perform for you.

the "congo black" comes from south african bag seed that was sold as being "congo black". I've read the thread that the info comes from.
He bought a small bag of weed that the guy told him was "congo black" and he found some seeds in it. If you know south africa than you also know that it is highly unlikely its actually from the Congo.
The Congo Pointe Noirs provenance also is suspect .

If you sell something to people claiming its pure when you dont know that as fact, I consider that deceptive.
if I bought these seeds thinking that there was truly "100% Congo" in it and than later stumbled upon the thread where the guys talk about buying a baggie of weed in S.A. and being told it was "congo black", I would feel deceived.

Snow has been using the Double Congo strain from Tropical Seed Co... that's what you want to know.
Congolese Pointe Noire was a very well spanish heirloom strain from the Canaries. Pointe Noire is the main Congolese coastal city, many fishermen and ships used to come from there back then. As for the "Congo Black", you are right I guess... commercial grade african of uncertain origin and not 100% NLD in my book by the way.
Congo Black, Acapulco Gold, Colombian Red... I've always found all those names funny, way too generic to be even taken too seriously IMHO. Speak about the Holy Grail...

Snow definitely received many lines in the past from Vibes members like Charlie Garcia, Bodhi and others, along with many other friends from the landrace scene. Including Jamaican Lambsbread, Swazi Red, Angolese/Thai, Angolese Red, Uzbekistan, Ethiopian, Malawi Gold, Zamal, Dalat, Senegal Haze, Double Congo and so on... some are definitely available within his extense catalogue.
He recently asked me for some Angolese seeds and collaborate but I kindly declined as I'd rather focus on my own path. And for now, I prefer to hold my gear or at least don't share it with anyone who may end selling our work without our blessing, after the latest incidents. Not nice to see others trying to cash in as you keep passing out loads of interesting seeds out for "preservation purposes" and keeping the genetics alive.

Snow was with Bodhi for a while. Bodhi was working with Vibes and USC so Bodhi had access to every/any-thing which meant Snow had access.
Cannabiogen's lead breeder has been their main connection, though he is going on retreat/hiatus for a while now.
Snow and Bodhi gear are the best for access to everything from the old BOEL lines to today's best Cali lines.
Dreadbaught - didnt give them enough time to express themselves. But they had amazing fruity flavors and were very happy.
High Voltage - oh my fuck. Trippy ass smoke from the old Durban and Skunk combo. Some killer hashplants in there too.
Speaking of Skunk, I found the RKS in there. No big deal.
