moderate feeder, topping works well. Medium stretch. Fat greasy nugs. She will fatten up really big but take a few extra weeks to really let the calyxs swell up and trichs bulb out

dank.frank I dunno.. I remember getting snowcap in 02-04 and it was the piniest strain i had come across with a good high to boot.. loads of it came through the area so it must have been a good producer.. always hearing it came from humboldt..
it was fairly hard for me to trackdown the snowcap with a w from humboldt but I just got her and cant wait to throw her into flower :D

I grew it years ago. Big big plant, everyone was growing it before Blue Dream was everywhere. I got tired of the smell so I never grew it again but it totally delivers. Smells like something I can't really place.... not really piney but something very over powering

Dont quote me on this information. There is a Snowcap X Romulan cross. The Snowcap R999 has mention I think is a Humbolt Snow cross and unknown Haze. Supposedly Piney/Citrus Sweet smell.

Snowcap will streach 2 to 2 1/2 times. It is not a picky feeder. Large hard buds. Big yielder. Very easy to grow. The smell/taste is peppery/spicy. I don't like it. I don't like Trainwreck either, for the same reasons. It is however, very stoney.

Check with the spelling...which people paid attention to such little quirky details. The romulan cutting was always passed around as "Snocap" - spelled that way...

this is the Romulan cut...correct?

Romulan?

My understanding of SnowCap was that a rather infamous NorCal pot grower found what he dubbed "SnowCap" in a pack of those cheap packets of unlabeled mixed seeds that people sell. I think I heard his was from Sensi Seeds. Like you see "indoor mix", or "sativa mix".

Anyway that guy was apparently a loud mouthed red neck. Famous for shooting his shotgun randomly just to warn off trespassers. He grew huge plots of weed and during trim season he had cars parked all the way down his driveway.

He was really pissing off his neighbors, who were fellow growers not happy with the size of his crops, and the amount of attention he was bringing to the area. He got arrested some years ago. Don't know what ever happened to him.

I forget who told me that story, but it was a member here who was also one of the angry neighbors.

So anyway he is gone but the clone lives on. It was quite popular before Blue Dream as someone stated earlier. I never heard about it having any connection to romulan though. I was always told the original snow cap was of unknown genetics due to it coming from a pack of mixed seeds.

Of course bear in mind that is all hearsay from years ago. So take it with a grain of salt. Just offering my recollection of Snow Caps origins. I think that was the humboldt clone only anyway.

how long ago were they raided? The guy I'm talking about got arrested back in '06 I think.

Clones can end up anywhere. All it takes is one cutting. Was the snowcap from mendo healing originally from that care center? Or was it just a clone being sold at that care center? Because lord knows snowcap cuttings were all over norcal at that point in time.

Hell yeah. Snowcap was super huge when I first moved to SF in '06. I remember getting zips of golf ball nugs frosted in sweet pine scented resin. Like, blue dream, it eventually got too popular for its own good. It was still around when I started dealing with pounds but I don't think I've seen it since 2009. I never knew what the lineage was on it. Looking forward to what you find!

Been looking for this cut since I lost it a decade or so ago… one of my favorites. Huge nugs. Beaster like… if anyone remembers beasters lol

Nose was Piney, lemon, kinda pissy.

Loved this line.

Seems to be extinct in clone form…
