Smoking before going to the airport?

I've got a flight to catch in a little bit and I think I want to get high before I go. Do ya'll think security will fuck with me making it a hassle?

Only if dogs picked you out, chances of that are low, and you weont be carrying at that point anyways, so is it worth the risk of being searched & held for a bit, to you? Given the chances are so small..

me and miss nycdfan smoked a gigantic spliff in the parking lott across the street from our iberia terminal! lol we smoked the entire shit down to the fingers!!!! it was DOPE..people walked right by us...luckily no one said shit..and we were able to ge stoned for the most part of our 8 hr flight to spain....

the airport dogs are almost exclusively bomb sniffing K-9s, after all a joint never brought down a plane. Drug dogs are sometimes used in the customs areas of flights coming in from places like Colombia, and drug sniffing K-9s would NEVER alert on the smell of burned cannabis anyway, they are not trained to sniff out smoked cannabis just the green stuff is what they're trained on.

I fly 5 or 6 times a year and always smoke before, also I have always taken a little bit of bud with me without a problem, but I am flying out of CA so much less risky than other states.

I've taken alittle bit of bud from Houston, back home. no dogs, I could have had 2pounds taped to my legs and they wouldn't have know.

I couple ounces is easy except the smell would be horrible..

I used to smoke before every flight. Jeez, when they ask you to turn up 3 hours before an international flight before being crammed into a hot, sweaty, packed out, overpriced waiting lounge before finding out that your plane has been overbooked/delayed/cancelled/broken down what do they expect? Flying is a horrible experience these days in my opinion - and if you look a bit dark, then it's even worse.

The only country that I've had trouble with was Australia - where a sweet little dog came and sat next to me - and that was because I had a half-eaten sandwhich in my bag (they're very strict about you bringing in anything that isn't vegemite).

What exactly is a little bit of bud? Why is flying out of CA less risky then other states?

I take up to an eighth. Cali is just so lax on its marijuana laws and enforcement when it comes to small quantities compared to other states that I've become comfortable taking bud with me. I never bring it back though if I am flying back from another state, as there are much harsher penalties in some places and I'm not always up on the local laws. I believe international airports are considered federal (is this correct?) but I take my chances anyway and have never been caught in an airport.

I have been "caught" by the police about 10 times in my life with small amounts of bud in my car, etc., and have never had a ticket or been arrested as it's just not seen as that big of a deal anymore I guess.

Kizzattack is on the right page. Edibles do amazing work on planes. I've taken them for a flight across the states and the 8 hours of airport/airplane time just disapears Make sure you still have the regulars like a music player, PSP, etc. A buddy of mine also took a few brownies for an overseas flight, but he overdid it a bit and slept the whole trip

I got blasted and successfully made it to my destination without any trouble. Wore my sunglasses through the airport. Going through security made me a little tense--old paranoia shot up to about an eight--but turned out alright. Stopped by the bar to wait for the flight and had a few beers--met some people who were going to the game too and shot the shit with them until time for take-off. Made the trip quite enjoyable--wouldn't do it any other way now. Just wish I had some smoke for the way home.

Agreed 100% I blaze before every flight and i havnt had any problems. Besides...if you dont roll with anything on ya..let em search ya ...they wont find a thing..ENJOY YOUR FLIGHT DUDE hah
