Nice choice on a light and glad to heard buds are rock hard...im using a 150 right now (have been for while) and im very very happy with the amount of bud my plants can produce, i would just like to have more dense buds and extra weight is always good, do you have any problems cooling your 250? have you used a 150? How much bigger is the difference in heat that gives off? Thanks

i switched from a 150 to a 250. i had to add a computer fan(bolted to the light reflector) to blow the heat it gives off away from the plants and also added a piece of plexi glass to keep the heat off the tops of the plants. other than that the ventilation i had for my 150 has been adequate enough for the 250. the plants are more vigorous with the 250 compared to the 150. if i had the room i would build a box double in size and get a 400hps. i just don't have the room and don't want to go to jail. keeping the plants at a minimum is important to me. just enough to keep my friend and i high.

Thanks for the info very much! Im debating on whether or not i should get a 250 with a cool hood or not, im also going to just to be SURE i wont have heat problems... So did your temps raise very much when you went from a 150 to a 250, because that exactly what i plan to do in the coming weeks.. I know how you feel about keeping plants to a minimum, im growing just to give me and my lady friend budz not of the street! My temps are around 85ish right now, so i would hate to see my temps climb into the 90-100 degree range because of adding a 250, also i dont wanna give off a huge heat signature either....

damn, 85 is pretty hot already. i had my temps at 74 with the 150. the 250 brought it up by 6 degrees to 79-80. anything higher than that and i would do have to add another fan. i've learned plants grow best keeping the temps at 75-80 inside. 85-90 is too hot.

edit: outdoors is a different story. temps 85-90 and plants will grow super fast. had a great crop with my autos in the cornfield this year.

i have a nirvana seed company "papaya" plant here. she is cut and sitting in a 5 gallon bucket of water until i get time to trim her.

here's the next batch of babies. they started popping their heads out today. all together 16 pots with 4-5 sprouts in each. there is (lr#2) and (lr#2 x blue streak) and (blue streak x low asis). i also just threw 30 jem seeds in water to sprout. i'm going to see what kind of results i can get with them under the 125 watt feliz.

here's the lr#2 still in the box and finishing up. these i'm cutting on a daily basis but in general they have one more week left. i miscalculated a feeding once and burnt the plants. i noticed it in time and flushed the plants with clearex. the plants didn't lose very many leaves and are turning out nicely. in the first pic are (master low x low asis) females that i'm testing how they will turn out. the rest are all of the lr#2 in the bigger grow box.

haven't did a grow in a couple months because i lost some confidence in my growing abilities. i decided to take a step back and figure shit out. well, it seems whatever i did, it's working out well. my plants look the best i have ever seen them indoors(knock on wood). anyway, i decided to try something else. i have a 8" tall rubbermaid tub filled with my soil concoction. i also have 3 6x6x6 square pots with them to see the difference in yield. the strain in the big box is low ryder 2. i have two smaller boxes that i have plants growing 20oz beer cups. the strains in the boxes are (low ryder 2 x blue streak) (master low x low asis) (jems x low asis). all of the better looking plants are in the bigger of the small grow boxes. the rest are in the teeny bopper box. cheers.

Dude, Since I moved to coco/perlite 70/30 I've never seen any sign of def. or weakness on any of my plants.
Also plants seem to get bigger in it than with normal soil.
If you got some seeds still sprouting i recommend you try cocopeat+perlite instead of soil.
I hand water my coco plants just like with soil, however I give feedings way more frequently.
When they're young every other watering, when they're flowering every watering, but small concentrations and usually a mini flush before the nute'd watering.
Coco is just that great if done right.

i started reading through my own thread. i now use a 50/50 mix with soil and coco. the plants have seemed to grow a lot faster and have gotten bigger.

Wow dude, I'm starting to think about doing some autos. I have some Road Runners from DinaFem I received as freebies. Have you tried to breed with non-autos? I wonder if the auto trait is dominant. I have some C99xDeep Chunk pollen, and will try to pollinate the RRs with that and see what I get. Thanks for the inspiration!
