Strain: Strawberry Diesel

Lineage: Strawberry Cough x Sour Diesel

Breeder: Reservoir Seeds


Appearence: Dense, foxtailed, bright orange-red pistols, medium frost. Nice looking nugs! 8/10

Smell: Clean pussy! (no bullshit!) we call this the pussy pheno. It also has hints of skunk, and some other funky undertones. I thinking she's leaning towards a strawberry-haze type pheno. 9.5/10

Taste: Very berry! definetly strawberryish, small hints of skunk and other funky undertones but mostly berry. 9/10

High: Very uppy, long lasting. It seems like the more you smoke the higher you get. This is where I think this is a straw haze pheno. Music and chilling blend nice with a joint of SD. 8.5/10


Overall: I've tried a few phenos of Strawberry D so far and this is not the best but it's close. She's not as funky as the other phenos but she still has a nice odor. When she's flowering she smells just a like a clean pussy. I thought that was different for a cannabis plant. The buds even have that fresh vagina smell but tend to bring out different odors upon breaking up a nug. I'll keep her around for awhile. 8.5/10

this smoke report has some flavors and aromas different from the norm it seems? i get the berry flavor but i am unsure of the clean pussy aroma? imo, a clean pussy has no aroma at all especially if recently scrubbed however, i will admit that it has been awhile since i had a sniff! lol. nice report though on a sweet strain.

From what batch of seeds did this plant come from (circa when)?

I've grown from a couple packs a still have not found a true 'Strawberry' leaning plant. Guess I need to bust some more out and see...

I found a strawberry pheno and while it smells amazing the taste was mild along with the high and didn't smoke as well as some of the phenos that exhibited more resin.

I still have to run this strawberry pheno again but at the moment its on the chopping block.

I have heard people mention to stay away from the strawberry phenos when selecting is Strawberry D genes, i guess it depends on what your looking for.

In the DSD genes i noticed some dominating diesel phenos with slight hints of berry and some 50/50 phenos that have a lemon vanilla sour funk that has tones of fruit.

Im sure there are killer PURE strawberry phenos to be had. Mine just happened to be mild but Id still consider it good daytime smoke, Other people enjoyed it for working which shows its Strawberry influence.

After smoking the resin covered phenos though, the weak stuff doesnt cut it

These beans came from a few years back, when Strawberry D first came out. I was gifted with some S1's that someone made. It's kind of nice because all seeds have been females. It's like everytime you start a few you get some new phenos. I had another pheno that had a more strawberry candy smell and taste but I got rid of it. It was more of an Indica dominant pheno. I still got like 5 beans left we'll see what comes out of those whenever I decide to grow them again. I usually make hybrids with select phenos to save genetics.

I have run Rez's DSD a few times and one of my good friends currently runs it, definitely leans towards the diesel side, but the red hairs and sweet undertones definitely let you know there's some straw in it somewhere. I also experienced not finding a lot of straw leaning phenos, but the ones that I did lacked the potency I wanted so it was kind of a draw that way.
