Smell. What do you do about it?

So how do you go about handling smell? A friend is talking to me about growing and may do it in her spear room. Though I am thinking that smell will be a factor that way. So I am thinking that maybe if she moves her bedroom to the smaller one and uses the Master as the grow room and uses the inline fan to to exhaust into the bathroom where she has the fan running it will help with the smell. Though running that 24/7 can not be a good idea either. Any ideas? I am saying that she should not grow where she lives. But getting another place is to costy. =/ I think that smell is all i need to work out. I have everything else worked out.

Ever heard of carbon filters?
Ona gel?
A variety know to not smell like Northern Lights?

There's plenty of options.
When I started growing I vented into the attic of my appt building. It Stank up the entire complex when close to harvest but nobody could tell where it was coming from.

I'd say play it safe w carbon filtration.

There are some strains with very low odor also. Ganesh from Mandala seeds is a good option. Great smoke for a new grower. Orient Express from Ace seeds is also a very earthy strain that won't bring about any curious noses. Both have nice yields and are a great strain to grow. Peace

Try to think about your airflow, ideally you want fresh air from the house coming in to the grow, and exhaust constantly with a carbon filter > extractor fan > direct outside. (with as few bends or length as possible in the ducting)

Speak to the growshop, make certain you have the correct matched fan for your filter.

Get an "acoustic fan" ... it is inside a box and "acoustic ducting" (twin wall duct, with about 2" of insulation in the wall) for maximum acoustic stealth.

Don't forget a few oscillators, have fun

Chimney is best, otherwise, away from public street view, police and thieves may pass by with heat cameras and spot a funny hot air vent

Like this, your house never smells, all the smelly air gets drawn out, no air ever leaves your growroom and skunks your house out
