These blue mat deals don't look crazy pricey- do you use the reservoir system and put nutes and all in there? The constancy doesn't mess up the wet/almost dry cycle I though was what the girls like?

wet dry cycle is bullshit if you use a good medium...earth boxes and blumats both prove it....yeehaw..I try an never let my soil get totally dry...

If dry your plants ain't getting what they need.. I like the soil soggy and dirty with various moisture content throughout the depth of the rhizosphere..

Blumats are designed for water, the way I use them w/ organic soil but hydro guys have their own ways of using them. There's a huge thread about it all.

Blumats work extremely well in rich open fluffy soil mixes that would otherwise drain too quickly to be very practical.

Going to order my first blumat kit too soon.... Makes all sense in world it's one thing to overdrench any plant but it doesn't make any intuitive sense to let it go dry dry....

Do you guys feed nutes through your Blumats?

I don't feed through the blumats ...others do but I see potential issues doing it and don't wanna have to buy drip clean..and most organic ferts would clog em imho .....yeehaw..going with ammended soil and if needed add some ferts under dripper and some teas...should be able to make a small depression under dripper and add some ferts in that area if need be...otherwise a few teas...

I used blumats for a little while running PBP with some drip clean and never had an issue. Stopped using them cause of the runaways. And since I can only visit my grow once a day, it wasn't working out for me. I wasn't using the pressure reducer though. Just running a single reservoir elevated about 3 feet above blumats. They are really cool, but kinda frustrated me trying to dial them in. They would run fine for a week....then I would go over to my grow and one drained out reservoir.....then all the time I was saving by using them, went to cleaning up run aways and redoing reservoirs! Lol.
