Slow burning and jar filling strains?

Some strains evaporate too quickly to fire giving you few satisfying smoke puffs. Some are just the opposite, slow burning giving you more puff per flower.

I would say that Afghani genetics gives you slow burning full body smoke flowers. Of course taste and smoothness are important which factors into the two strains in next paragraph.

I have been disappointed with how some strains barely fill up my jars. Clone only Lavender and Blue Dream are excellent jar filler of high quality flowers for me. Blue Dream is an outstanding smoke. An All American strain to me. Typical I know, yet it amazes me when I run her. It's popular for many reasons. What strains are jar fillers for you?

id think this has more to do with dryness vs wetness and moisture content of the buds.

when buds are old and brittle, they break up like powder between your fingers. bowl packs dont seem to last as long and burn faster because the consistency is light airy powdery ect.

I love kens gdp because you can make a bowl of its rock hard nugs last all night long after metabolizing entheogenic compounds. Candyland, a cross im smoking on right now, is just as dense smooth and delicious but it's more potent in a way...I love them both.

Yes that is true about your drying, curing and storage methods. IMO, Genetics and selection still is a bigger and huge factor in how good and much puff you get overall.

Skunk is a jar filler but I had many misses with her. She was all over in smells each time I grow her genetics. I'm sure there are refined skunks out there. I have many Sam the Skunkman freebies in my vault.

Candyland clone from P2P has excellent puff ratio. Flowers were dense and provided lengthy burning session. Yes it was a little bit stronger than GDP. Unfortunately it was not a jar filler for me.

I have not tried clone only GDP. Only S1 seeds and it did somewhat well as a jar filler with completely purple buds. I'm running her again this year from a new seed. Yes clone only GDP is a classic, very good smoke and effect. I'm sure there are better representation of her that I have not tried. Yes I would count GDP as medium level jar filler of satisfying slow burning smoke.

Interesting thread.
I've been pretty satisfied with Blue Moonshine for a while now. Been exploring a lot of diffetent varieties over the years. I grew this ECSD x C99 last year that has most everything a person could ask for so I kept a cut. She's sticky icky citrus sour and mango w slight fuely notes at the end of a pull. Buds grew dense on one plant & somewhat airy on another. She can burn fast or slow. It just depends on a few factors:
a) how packed is the bowl (I grind almost all my weed)
b) how big of a hit do you take (puff like a mad man or like a good wine, take a sip every once in a while)
c) moisture content of the bud (more moisture, up to about 65% max rh causes a cooler, generally tastier burn)

Seems the Chems tend to be more airy. At least the ones I've tried thus far.

Oh yeah, as mentioned above, I grind my buds up. This pretty much eliminates the difference in burn quality bud to bud, variety to vatiety, save for differences in puffing style & moisture content of the bud.

I crossed "Sage and Sour" with my own "Florida Giants" last year...

The S&S is a tiny bit stronger, but the Fla. Giants are resistant to all mold and mildew issues..and as their name says. they grow into monsters....

We'll see what happens this summer.. Hopefully. I'll be filling my jars with these, end of October...
