Skunkman Sam's Secret Dry Sift 2009

I do a really good almost full melt with dry sift methods. I use a one gallon jar and shake the bud/leaf(works best with leaf) and then collect this with my finger off the sides of the jar and then I take it to my keif box and filter it with the box 2 times. When removing my finger from the jar I noticed that the resin was so pure it melted into a sheet on my finger. I had to use a knife to slice it carefully off. bubbled the same as any water made full melt I ever had. Ill try to make a batch out of my Romulan, Great hash strain by the way, and take pic during the process!

Also it helps to shake the jar during the day and take the keif off the jar in the morning when its colder!

Lol he is just trying to make his money and pay his bills like the rest of us. When you find a drug that cures baldness, or cancer, or erectile dysfunction, you just don't patent it and give it away okay? The sense of entitlement in this thread is absurd.

I've been waiting 10 years now fow sam to give his method, I don't think I have 10 more years left to wait

many sets of differen screens stack on each other with a vibrating motor is the way to go

on the Greenhouse Seed Co video where they dry the seed coating;
they have these eat screens to hold lots of seeds.

Bet they'd make nice dry sift screens.

but mrred have you seen such a sifter anywhere? thanks.

I just read up on this crazy supercritical/subcritical fluid extraction invention on google inventions along with some aqueous extractions that got me thinkin :chin:... real cool site.. searched "dry sift kief" and couldn't find sam's ..yet.. hehe ;)

many sets of differen screens stack on each other with a vibrating motor is the way to go

that's if you want quantity rather quality

vibrating stacked mesh screens will produce good quality, but not great quality dry sift...mainly due to contaminants breaking up into different sizes and mixing in with the various sized resin heads on each mesh size.....also another problem with vibrating stacks is that vibration alone doesn't work that well when you get down to the finer meshes as the contaminants in the dry sift tends to "dance" and "pool" on the mesh rather freely pass through.

A good way would be to vibrate the starting material through 150 micron and 125 micron meshes, resift the dry sift again through these meshes.

then with finer meshes(50 ~70 micron), use a combination of vibration with carding or screeding the kif across the mesh(es) which will help break up the rubbish and force it through while the resin heads remain on top of the mesh.

Thats just one method, there's lots of ways to dry sift, work out which is best for you

if this thread were a movie, the final scene might go a little like this:

dark room, a closeup shot of a small, brown sphere. two black prongs come into view and attach to sphere, lifting it. the camera zooms out, and we see a colony of ants going to and fro, carrying tricomes to an ant farm completely made of hash. as the camera zooms out some more, we begin to hear quiet laughter... we see a silhouette, and the shot fades to black as the man's laughter intensifies into insane bellowing.

nice hash, sam.

I just typed up a long ass method for extraction, and it got erased cus I was logged out AHHHHH!!! Gonna hit up my second explanation, with less detail. sorry.. This is an experiment I want to conduct...

I call this method 'RPM Hash'

I would fully cure the nugs for 3 months to achieve hardened and mature resin glands.
I would dip a whole nug into powdered dry ice for a bit, to allow the resin heads to become brittle.
I would then attach the nug inside a box. In this box is a rod, attached to a high RPM motor. The nug fits on the other end of the rod via a claw clamp, and is spun at very high RPMs, and another motor will "Slam" the rod back and forth (colliding with another rod) at the push of a button. This would knock loose resin glands and will accumulate on the sides and bottom of the box. Plant material will probably break off too, which can easily be screened out later.

Connoiseur's sifting of the resulting contents from the box can be accomplished via silk screen @ 180u-140u-100u-80u-60u-40u-30u, or something similar.

For dry sieve - I would use my cybersonic toothbrush unit to vibrate (31,000 RPM) each individual silk screen layered over each other, starting with the 180u, working my way down.

For water extract - (everything is set up like regular bubble bag ice extract.. except no agitation is required) I would use the same cybersonic toothbrush, seal a balloon over it with no air pockets, and submerse it under water, attached to a string, gliding it over the top of the silk screen/bubble bag and all through out the mixture. Eventually working your way down to the bottom, and drying out as normal.

I have another option for water extract which needs lots of experimentation.. Actually I just realized how clever it is, and will seriously consider pursuing a patent. Peace!

CHAMBA,

Do you own a camera?? If so can you please post some photos of your dry sifted hash and dry sifting tools?

You post a lot of information but never any photos of your hash?

I do own a camera, but live in a country where there is a death penalty (regardless whether you are caught with ganja for personal consumption or dealing the same weight in heroin), so please forgive me if I seem a little timid

if I lived in California USA and had a medical cannabis card I'd post lots of pics...but until then....

what do I use for dry sifting?......I've used lots of different stash boxes, kif boxes, screen frames etc even tried several models of tumblers...but now I exclusively use Bubbleman's set of 4 interlocking dry sifting screen frames for dry sifting and for daily rolling or packing i use Gypsy Nirvana's stash box (the dual screen model)

for those who haven't checked these out already ---->

http://www.aqualabtechnologies.com/medical-equipment/dry-sifting-screens/dry-sift-screen-set.html

the first mesh is stainless steel...the other finer meshes below are the same mesh sizes as the Bubble Box, but these frames are larger in size, but have the same features : interlocking frames, mesh sizes branded on the frames, etc ..these are purpose built for dry sifting, are tough, will produce very melty, highly pure dry sift and are ideal for personal use

why don't we leave sam alone, if he wants to sit in his room with his hubble bubble pipe, wooden matches and his super secret sieve all by himself so be it. i could care less. i prefer real quality import and the sieve i get from my resin heaven
