This latest project is very focused on short turn around times (i.e bringing up even 9 week flower times makes the owner's butthole clench). Just another greedy rich asshole, don't think there's any talking to him. I'm trying to work out having a head stash room, or taking over part of the one already built (head grower is NOT happy about that idea). Thing is, i'm not being especially well received by anyone on the new project. Nobody likes to have someone come in and nit pick at everything that's being done wrong/less efficiently than it should. As a direct result i'm not making any new friends . Doesn't help that i'm kind of an asshole, and short on tolerance for bullshit. Already had to "explain" to several people if they were doing their job, I wouldn't be here, period.

I can dig that - I'm definitely fortunate to be in a position where I'm really not concerned about crop turnover or turnaround..

Still, there is something special about the nightmare. I don't know what it is yet, but for whatever reason I feel really compelled to grow it, kind of like bonz' orge cut (hint hint buddy ). The way you describe the effects are right up my alley. Plus I like her structure, which is a huge part of selection for me. Worst case scenario she will be in the hands of a trusted friend while i'm away, hoping to come back to samples . Once I get settled back into my normal routine i'll be putting her through the ringer to see what comes out on the other side.

I can't wait to see this :D

Oh - Final haul on the silver Nightmare:

89 g, off the bone.

Aptus Nightmare should be done drying in the next day or two, .. Once the RH is holding steady for her, I'll put those #s up.

Early guess? 75 g.

Smoke report - White

Smoke report - White

picture.php

Jeeeeebus, I've been meaning to get this up. Why now, finally? ..because I'm about to smoke the last of the ~ 2+ oz she gave, so I finger it's about time..

At the time I jotted these notes, I'd smoked just one oneie - so, let's say, two tokes/rips/pulls/collections of particulate matter inhaled into my lungs..

"Strong" is definitely a word I'd use to describe her. Not overpowering, but definitely not subtle by any means.

The effect was, well, effective! I'll contrast it against something like a Blue Satellite 2.2, which I've found to be veeeery .. Subtle. The White is THERE, for sure. But, relatively clear-headed, and not too heavy or slowmedown.

She tastes like white cake with white frosting - very cake-ish/pastry-ish. Definitely on the sweet end of things - nothing earthy or musky here.

I tend to [try to, at least] compartmentalize herb into a sort of "AM" or "PM" bucket. This one fits the bill on both. While it's not quite as UP or soaring as some Sativas, she's pleasant to smoke on in the morning. (She's been the daily 7:30 AM rise-n-shine lately. When it comes to nighttime, she's quite lovely there too. (She's also been the nightly nightcap lately) Even if I smoke a bunch, I don't get the whole wide-awake-in-bed-racing-thoughts-cant-sleep effect. (And I'm prone to it, FWIW).

The yield seemed very .. Average. .. My baseline for yield has become the Nightmare Diesel, which I know for a fact can reliably give me 1+ oz per gal/container. The White was below that, but not as piddly as some other varieties I've grown. I'm excited to give her another stab and see if I can't hulk it up a little.

Final verdict?

Can't wait to run her again! As long as I can consistently get yields as good as- or better than the last run, I'll be happy. :artist:

Hot damn. Because I'm lazy, I'm going to just copy a post I made in calientecarlos' thread:

Just poked my head in on my ratty looking Deathstar (day 62) and couple Happy Valleys.

F*cking Deathstar's got some mites on'er! :cuss: More than I feel comfortable leaving/trying to treat. She's gotta come out soon. Got some spinosad on her (and the two seemingly-unaffected Happy Valleys) pronto, gonna give her a rinser spray and then get her TFO ASAP.

Might be wax or any other alternate disposition time.. :blackeye:

And to add.. The Deathstar was definitely a distressed plant, for SHORE. She definitely had some serious heat damage - at the right angle, most of her leaves looked translucent, almost ghost-like.

At this point, I'm just happy to get this round the heck outta there, lather, rinse, and do it again. :wallbash:

MEGADOUCHE it has been

I'm ready to douche the whole f*ckin' room, to be honest. I'm happy to get in there, retool some sh*t, hang me a cool tube or a reflector or some other heat-mitigating device.

Anyway. I'm over it. And over this horseyness as well:

Deathstar, cooked and f'd up, at 62 (?) days:

Did you know, full auto photos are also full lousy?

WE ARE ROBOT SIBLINGS, warmchuck!

But, f'rserious, that's some bullshit. For the birds..

Man o man. Last time for me. From now on, with protection only!

I also f'd up on that Deathstar by not properly lollipopping/de-larfing her.

Good news is I picked up another Deathstar this week, so's I'll get another stab at her. :D

(With sun screen this time..)

Birds of a feather Silv!! Shit hits the fan for a reason I'm told... Glad ya got another Deathstar!!

No more unprotected tanning bed treatment! I hooked up my 6 inch inline fan and switched the timer so lights are on an hour later and hour less 9pm-8am. We'll see how it goes... Swamp Cooler is def still on the list.

She might be cooked, but theres still some good looking bud there. I got some mites too, they were easy. Now RA... they suck.

:yeahthats Just bagged her up for the final burpage, and she's pleasantly stanky and sticky. :D Definitely some larf, but still some decent headies.

The two remaining Happy Valleys, though, I'll be keeping a close eye on in the meantime. I think I can probably pull 'em out through full ripening, but let's see.

Now RA... they suck.

Honest to God fear of mine.

Makes sense - HELP IT'S HOT IN HERE

It's okay - I just smoked a bowl of some White with some ND dry ice on top.. :dance013:

That Deathstar looked like shit when you go it... And then you washed away as much coco as you could and transplanted to dirt... And then you gave her mites. She had a rough life. Don't sweat it so much. The next one will look better.

:yeahthats

Not so much a matter of sweating as a sort of disapproval. :)

S s s s s smoooke report, Nightmare Diesel styl-ee!

After a good 6-9+ month run of steady smokin' this same awesome variety (with others sprinkled in, but the ND was always a constant), I had a hiccup and was without it for +/- 45 days.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the White was a good fill-in. : D But vs. the ND, it leans more towards the PM/heavy side of things. (I managed to live those +/- 45 days with the White as my AM rev-up, but I digress..)

Anyway. So I blazed some of the Nightmare finally.

First impression: "Hmm. I .. Did I fuck it up this time? Hmm. No, I couldn't have.. But. Hmm. I mean.. I was kind of expecting to be a little buzzed up. .. ?"

:dunno:

Four minutes later: "Oh. .. Ohhhhhhhh! This IS it! And I mean, I feel good, but not like HIGH, and definitely not STOOOONED .. But I just feel.. RIGHT! Like.. Right as FUDGE!"

aaaaaaaaand this is why I put up with 84 day flowering times. :artist:

Hey budman! Always happy to see you around!

Here's what's kind of funny - dudeman is due at July end.. And if I put anything in to flower now, I'd be telling my wife, the mother of my then-two-week-old-kid, "Hey, that whole thing? Yeah.. I'll be back in a few hours" :)

So at this point, everyone gets a good 60 day veg :D

Edit: I'm so rude - thanks for the kudos. :) I'm like a squirrel, trying for as many acorns as I can stash in the next few weeks..

Top em. Mainline em. Growing big buds and lots of them. I'm still enjoying my dtrain, Connie Chung and blue widow. Four different phenos of dtrain. Chipping down in October. Nice 8month cure. Went fishing today. Caught a couple catfish and bass. 7hrs on the water has me fried crispy. Shower and now kicked back on the recliner. Drinking an all day iPa from founders
