On that note, I will tell you, .. I was a dry sift fanatic for a long time (still am) -- honestly didn't understand all the excitement/hype around BHO. (And, like you, was a little leery) .. I used to think "What could be better than a big bong rip of some kif?" ..

And then I did a good solid dab of some erl, and HOLY SHIT.

I was just explaining to someone this week, it's like the crack of weed.

WOW!!! Kinda like the eternal high you always wish to get with buds, but don't. I make iso sometimes after I gt as much as i can from a dry sift and thats pretty good I couldn't Imagine a cleaner high like the BHO. I will deff. be trying this one day when I can get the tube to do it. Plus the butane the better the butane the better the outcome right? cleaner end product.

So in my latest Nightmare harvest post, I said I was bummed about a) flower structure and b) final tally.

Turns out I was wrong on both. While there was some material that finished more larfy than I like, as a whole, consistency/density was good. Not the best I've done with her, but acceptable.

Everyone's been hangin' & dryin' for a few days now. Next step is to cut off all the lumber, throw 'em in a bag, and let 'em sweat it out and see where we're at with the moisture level.

They seemed damn near dry when I took 'em down and stuffed 'em in the bag tonight. From here, my goal is +/- 65% RH.

After 12 hours sealed up, RH rose to 68%. I don't see it climbing beyond that, but I'll keep an eye on it.

At this point, I feel comfortable calling it.

Well, looks like we're gonna lose a smidgen more to moisture, but nothing that'll but TOO significant a dent in the 7+ oz.. Even if it falls "all the way" to 6.5+ oz, .. I'm a happy hawaiian!

Keep in mind that the closer to the 90 day flower she goes the more weight she will put on and the heavier the stone. Let gone completely full she will double her weight in the last 2 weeks and will become a serious nighttime med! Get yourself a pocket microscope instead of a jewelers loop to checmo thrichs. The thumbwheel adjustment helps to bring them into focus better with a little practice

Couldn't have done it with out ya! I've got another pair I just threw in to flower a week or so back. I'll try to muster the patience to let those fuckers go an extra week, maybe even two. It's hard to imagine any more weight out of 'em!

If I had to buy another hand held I'd get one like the one in the second photo.Mine has little focus dial and magnification/zoom dial but they're on the front but if the sample is still in the plant you have hold the sample and scope in one hand while using the other hand to work the magnification/zoom and focus dials.

I'm using the EcoPlus Illuminated 60-100x scope.

I like the 2nd one in your post though as it looks as if I can hold it and work the dials with one hand and hold the plant with the other (seems a lot easier for better viewing).
