Bonz - so happy to see you back man! Just in time for NYE! :friends:

~sprout - I'm with ya! highfive. Here's my question, .. If I rig a setup, I'd essentially put the whole-home humidifier in a tote, suck air from the outside room, and have a hole w/ some 4" ducting out of the tote and into the veg tent (which then flows into the flower tent), with the humidistat set in the flower room.

Should I be concerned pumping moist air directly into that 4" ducting from the unit (tote) to the tent? Moisture collection/condensation within the ducting, mold, mildew exposure?

:chin: Also, in the event of jackin' up ("tweaking") one's humidity, it's probably smart to wisen up about potential snags associated with an excessively humid environment, .. 'cause, y'know, I'm sure we'll miss the mark at some point. ;)

:thank you:

Use 4" PVC instead of ducting, less turbulence and condensation, easier to wipe out if worried about it

:) And if someone was to say... angle that PVC slightly downward,
and put a small collection/drip plate under the exhaust end of that
said PVC, one wouldn't have to wipe anything, just another thought ! :chin:

You keep this up and your grow rooms gonna kick some ass homeboy !
:asskick:

Ha! Set to return the other huey, so that is in motion. Now I just need to really think through this other solution, .. Descending slope isn't a problem - I can set the rigged unit on a stand, or even mount to the wall..

Two things I'm considering at this point:

1. Cleanest way to accommodate the whole-home unit. I'm thinking about placing the whole thing inside of a tote. I could either set the tote itself on a stand/shelf on the wall, or I might could even mount the whole tote itself to the wall. Probably a stand/shelf is best, tough.

2. How to address the overflow issue (as it applies to the unit itself). The one on my furnace has a line (gravity powered) from a tray overflow drain to the condensation pump on the furnace, .. I'm thinking, if I mount the huey itself sufficiently high, I can also run a gravity powered drain line from the overflow to the same condensation pump, ..

??

That's one solution. The alternative, nicely pre-packaged and presumably pre-overflowproofed, is a mini unit at www dot hydrofogger dot com, with the waterline feed unit..

I'm fairly confident I can do the whole-home rig for about $130.

The hydrofogger solution is $345.

The hydrofogger probably has a better repurpose application (could rig a water line to the bedroom, to have a constant-feed humidifier in the bedroom, for example..)

Whole-home rig is much cheaper, ..

Thoughts?

BB! Glad to see you man. I hope you and the fam are settling in on the 40 acres nicely, .. Warmly, cozily, and happily.. :)

Wise man, choosing more veg, in favor of already having plenty of dried flowers.. !

I've got a couple broads just starting to flower right now, on the lower level. Upper level is half empty, half Nightmare Diesels (which I'll let to go +/- 13 weeks, per her creator, jbg29. And I'm sure there's some truth to that - the first run, I took her to 82 days, and she was HEAVY)

I have one each just started to flower (10-17 days in) - Nightmare Diesel and Golden Goat. Both are considerably larger'n the last time they went in.

When I'm not considerably lazy, I'll get a shot of each of 'em to share w y'all.

It's gonna be a new variety mixup to start off 2013, that's for shore. Got some HOL Happy Valley beans started (SFV x OGKush), fixin' to start some Hashberry, and a new cut or two.. :watchplant:

:greenstars:

Because of so many of you, the garden in 2012 was awesome!

Because of the same and many more, I expect it to kick more ass in 2013. Thanks all!

Respect SH........Foggers are the best solution , but they can clog from mineral deposits in tapwater over time if not maintained properly...but.....as yas said....they`re pricey....

Pretty much plug and play though , so......things to ponder......anyways.......

Happy New Yr with blessings for the upcoming 2013.......

Peace.....Freds......:ying:......

Thanks avinash. :tiphat: She's pretty funky man. I may not be the best (read: most well-sampled) dude to weigh in on the taste..

She's quite, quite fruity, actually. I think the 82-day batch was better than the 70-something day I just pulled, as far as taste goes, but ..

Not so much a "WOAH DANK STANK BRAH" stink, like that classic chronic stink, .. To me, it smells a little fuely/"greasy," but mondo fruit comin' thru..

I rike it a rot. :D

I always described the fruit tone smell as a rotten fruit and yes a very diesel undetone, bit not overpoweringly so. So how did you like the hash from her my friend? I made brownies from her that made me quit eating edibles!

The hash is excellent! :D I've thus far been too lazy, but I've been thinking about putting it through the 110 screen too, .. On that note, I've also been thinking about picking up a 70 screen too, .. Thinking.. Thinking..

Thanks for checkin' in Easy!

Been feelin' like I'm not really gettin' back here much lately - and if I do, with very little substance.. :dunno:

Been super duper busy lately, trying to get back into the swing of things after the holiday..

Everyone is chugging along. The elder Nightmare Diesels are on day 81. They'll come down Friday, or sometime this weekend .. At this point, it kind of becomes "which day does the universe permit."

The one that wigged out and went yellow has made a damn nice recovery. I don't expect her to be ready at 84 like the other one (she's greened right back up, and is baaaarely fading - the other ND is yawning, like it's ready to come down in a day or 3..

The newer Nightmare Diesel is turning into a bush. Looks great - lush and plasticy/waxy lookin', .. But I'm a little stumped on the best way to train this mofo. It's slightly out of control - needs a haircut, but I'm sparing the sickle (in a big way, at least) until it slows down a little, .. So far, I've been removing big fans sparingly, to reveal other budsites..

The Golden Goat is lookin' good. She's nice and splayed open..

What's next, what's next, what's next? Good question. I can't answer that, .. But I can tell y'all what else is cookin', .. eh?

Two beer cup Nightmare Diesels, three Happy Valley seedlings (will be starting a thread in the HOL forum for these also), and a rooted cut of the White. .. And a cut of that same White in the cloner bucket - and since the multiplication gods have been laughing at me lately, I'm not going to count that chicken before it grows some legs. :tumbleweed:

Anyway. So, some of that. Who the heck knows. To be honest, as awesome as it is, I'm getting a little tired of the Nightmare Diesel, .. Nothing to get tired about, really - it's heavy, it's stony, I've got it sorta dialed, .. ?! It's just the ADHD in me, ..

Soon I'll have space for a few more seedlings (Hashberry? Gunk?), or some more/or new cuts, .. I figure I'll

HEY LOOK A SHINY OBJE :Bolt:

:2cents:
14 days in the cloner.
30 days in the veg tent.
75 days in the flower room.
119 days of time and effort.

10 extra days to mature properly...
Priceless !
