Thanks .frank! Barring some unforeseen catastrophe, she'll be sticking around for a while.. :D She seems to want a good amount of N the first bit of flowering..

Chill dude - it's not like you can hide anywhere with those awesome tattoos anyway. Besides, who would want to hide, if he were Mr. Cool Ice?

Hey ~sprout! She was a creation of brotha JBG.. :dunno:

Honestly I'm not sure if any more of 'em made it out to the wild. I'm only lurking in a few places 'round this joint, but I've not ever seen or heard of it elsewhere..

Hopefully, for the world's sake, there are some more copies floating around..

Nice camera work silver. All the plants look terrific, even the Chem D is phattening up for you. Good luck as you close in on the finish line...... :smokeit:

Thanks smilley - she's not nearly as greasy or frosty lookin' as the others, but bobble did mention she's quite finicky, and I'm now thinking she was a little too battered yet to flower when I flipped'er..

Looking like a nice headstash, and ultimately, what more do I need? (Do I even need that?)

Not terribly sure how the others will pan out.. I'm expecting a couple z's from the Goat, and hopefully +/- 4 on the ND, .. (Based only on her last run, which was 3.75 out of a 5 gal)

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving! Did the family thing with the in-laws (it's nice to have some family in town), came home, watched some Breaking Bad, polished off a few more beers, ..

Up today by 8, spent 'til about 3 making it look like Christmas barfed all over the inside of the house..

I was in the cab today taking pictures for something else (standby), but who can resist?

..little help?

..little help?

Okay, this is what's got me stymied lately.

Here are two Nightmare Diesels, at day 35.

Same medium, same feeding schedule, etc..

Usually, the ND grows with deep dark green leaves. The plant on the left here is very representative of its normal color.

The one on the right has been steadily fading in her color, probably over the last 5 days or so.

Initially, it looked to me like she was waning in N, so I gave her a smidgen of grow, .. Didn't seem to help much (if at all), so I cooked up some EWC with a dash of alfalfa, and hit her with that, .. Not the relief I was hoping for..

Anyone?

This is the only plant in the whole garden that's fading like this..

:thank you:

If the plant is in the direct path of air flow and / or gets moved around more for whatever reason, the plant will use more N to stiffen itself (stems)...

Just a thought / theory...

The other possible suggestion, and having experienced this myself, if you have an amended soil, things are not always mixed as evenly as you think...and some plants end up in a varied % of ingredients...

In such a case, it also wouldn't hurt to double check an lock out issues from a varied pH in that plant...so the question there is at what pH is N locked out, and what are your potential causes of such...

Also, could simply be since growing from clone, that plant developed a stronger root system than the other cuts taken at the same time and is therefore taking more / using more from the feedings...

I agree it looks like she is hungry for N and perhaps a bit of Ca - and you know she isn't going to magically green back up, but you should see further yellowing cease or begin slow down the rate at which it is occurring...I'd feed her daily until I noticed curl, tip burn, or sudden elongation of the flowers - ya know, all the signs of high N. If you begin seeing such signs and the yellowing has not stopped, then you certainly have something else going on...

Other option is to let her go as far as she is going to go and chop her a bit earlier as her food sources are consumed...

Very very funny you mention the airflow deal, .. The veg tent exhausts directly into the flower cab, at ~ 85 CFM, .. It enters the flower cab via an upturned 4" duct, right behind the hungry ND, .. Definitely not blowing ON her, but no doubt creating a lot of turbulence around her..

:dunno:

I've been steady feeding her, trying to get her to color back up, .. But I'm also a little leery of pumping her full of N at this point, .. This variety already takes every bit of 75-82 days, so I'm trying to wobble along this line where her N is taken care of, without adding another 30 days (and untold foxtails and leaves) to the buds..

IN OTHER NEWS

The ax will be falling on the Goat in the next day or two. Starting to become quite senescent, .. Just a matter of me having some spare moments to do the deed'n make'r dead.

ND (first batch) is starting to lighten up, right on cue. Last time, I took her to 82 days. I've got a feeling I can sneak away with this one a few days before that..

I love cutting right to the chase... Nice work, very sexy.

Thank you sir! Without someone, none of this would been et cetera

Is that the Goat ? :good: Looks tasty !

Mmmmmmmmm

Got it? GOOD!

Right behind where the yellowing ND is, I've got the veg tent vented into the flower cab. About 6-10" above the ND was a 4" elbow, blowing air straight up and into the cab..

I've since taken some 4" flex and just run it all the way to the top of the flower cab - basically right to the filter that's the beginning of the exhaust..

Let's see if this won't help with this yellowing, the reduction in turbulence that is..

Okay, here's some shots of the Goat pre-chop. Pardon the quality - image preservation was not the primary focus last night.. Just wanted to do the deed and get my ass to bed:

Crikey :yoinks:

Last time, I took the ND to 82 days. She's at day 71 or 72 right now, and I'm not sure she'll make it another week or 10 days! :greenstars:

Starting to yellow pretty aggressively, finding some completely dead leaves here'n there.. I like my plants to ripen and draw out, but I don't like to let 'em get too far into senescence..

Question for all'a yall. I use a cheap 60x loupe ($3 on amazon), and to me & my eyeballs, it ain't worth the shipping (which was free).

Without breaking the bank, whaddo y'all use to check trichomes for readiness?

Every now'n again, I can get a good peek with the stupid loupe, but most times, it just makes me feel shaky and blind. Instead, I've just grown accustomed to chopping based primarily on general "doneness" of the plant, .. Yellowing, pistils, swollen calyxes, etc..

Nice work Silver, straight to the point without the foreplay : )

For checking trichs I use my cameras macro lens but I also have one of the USB microscopes which although they don't take great quality photo it's enough to see what is going on inside the trichs. Here are a few shots from the USB microscope:

As you can see the quality isn't great but you can see what is going on.

Just for comparison here is what the cameras macro lens pics look like:
