Silverfish

I'm having an issue with Silverfish. I have a T5HO light in a spare shower/bathroom area. I believe they are coming from the shower drain and are attracted to the light. They don't seem to bother the plants but they are very annoying always lurking around. Mainly baby silverfish with a few adult ones from time to time. I've tried sprinkling diatomaceous earth and it doesn't seem to do anything to them. I basically have to spray them with pest spray or Windex directly but there's always more of them that come back, so I need a solution to get to the source of them. Any ideas?

Edit: After some research, what I initially thought were baby silverfish, may actually be springtails. The adult ones are definitely silverfish though. So it seems I have more of a springtail issue.

Yeah i don't have a problem killing them on contact. I'm tryna kill the source of them. I'll try the lye powder down the drain.

Drying up the source of the moisture eliminates the springtails. That's tough to do in a shower drain. Bleach will also kill them.
