yes it prevents us from growing most indoor strains outdoors to full ripeness without a greenhouse or a roof with plexiglass :(

....i wanna puke - i hate black slime...heh - i like doctor dorights in flowering, cold fogg outdoors, and dutchmaster penetrator and zone in veg....zone is like a root conditioner so i feel like its like puttin conditioner in your air....maken it all smooth and sexy...heh - - - but seriously plants love it , both dorights and pene/zone, i honestly do a spray with all of it in veg....do rights has all these heady oils that bugs hate....and the zone is a buffering for the roots ....so with pene/dorights/zone the plants literally rid the disease overnight.... i have actually had some herb tested at a lab in california and the results came back zero for mold......and they came from a room that is INFESTED in mold....my buddy has horrible time keeping his chit clean, so things get mildew, and we harvested the sour bubble at the same time, his was covered in it, mine, was literally zero....it was tested...and i swear it is becasue of dorights, because there were spots of downey at week 6, sprayed dorights waited 7 days and harvested....clean smoke....i hate sounding like im pushin a product but here in cali....mildew is a bitch, and it's good to know something you can spray your flowers with and it definately evaps and washes off the leaves....plus its not bad for the root zone either....i.e. leave run-off

Or i use sulphon fro mecostyle or bayfidan from bayer.

Not really organic but does the trick , just be sure to use it preventive , cuz during flowering it's a BIG NO -NO:noway::noway::noway:

To prevent molds it is important that your soil contains enough calcium. What you can use is sugar cane molasses or otherwise check your pH and use maerl. Also of course the genetics is important

I have used the aspirin, but now use SERENADE. It's a broad spectrum, preventative bio-fungicide that's recognized as a organic solution to mold . . .

has anyone used a product named serenade? My buddy picked some up for his mold problem but I still havent heard of his results.....................
Sorry Guess i need to read to the last page before I post! Lucky 7 How did the serenade work for you?

This thread really needs to be emphasized. This isnt a joke or some anectdotal home remedy. This is the real and in my mind, that makes this thread one of the most important threads i have ever read on any pot forum because it provides a remedy for 2 of the pot growers worst enemies, mould and powdery mildew.

When i first read this thread and purchased some greencure to try, the results werernt that good and it turned the hairs on my plant brown. Because my growing conditions are so wet, i really need something like this so i did some research on the product and talked with one of the company's customer reps.

The rep told me that the response to the acidity in greencure varies widely across the plant world and all of the species listed on the label had been tested and a dosage established. They told me that when used on a species different from those listed on the label that some testing must be done to establish the proper dosage before the plants are fully treated.

My testing found that 3/4 of a tablespoon in 1 gallon of water prevents mould and powdery mildew and will kill it and stop it dead if seen on the plant. 3/4 will not burn plants and is undetectable in the smoke. I have used it on 5 different strains without any negative or detectable effects except for the fact that i dont have any mould in my buds.

This thread should be a sticky and every outdoor grower should be using this product.. Its turned out to be the most important tool i have once flowering starts. This product should be a critical component to UK growers or any other wet, cool enviroment.

This product has made it possible for me to grow strains i never thought i could grow. This is a real cure.

Anytime nomaad. People really need to know about this stuff. After reading i think others had the same initial results as i but they gave up after the initial test.

I am amazed that seed vendors and breeders arent recommending this product and i cant beleif it isnt being more widely used. Even indoor growers get PM occasionally.

I have heard about it... from swamp growers. I was thanking you specifically for the safe dosage information that you figured out.

I have dick-tons of PM on my fence line... anywhere its shady. I am thinking about killing it where it lives before it gets a chance to infect my magic garden.

Interesting thread. Reading it because I have this problem indoors with my clones and moms and some seedlings, which have been struck with botrytis. Been in a panic for a few days and came here looking for info. Since I had none of the recommended products on hand except milk, I decided to try it. Mixed 9 parts water with 1 part skim milk. Sprayed that all over everything for two consecutive nights. Also poured some into the coco around the stems of infected plants, and let it soak in.
Today, I went shopping for fungicides locally, and bought a couple of things: Bayer Advanced Disease control, which is a systemic treatment that is sprayed. Decided to hold off on that for now. It's concentrated, and not sure of appropriate dosage, or possible side effects. Also found Daconil fungacide in Lowes, ready to use. Says it controls/stops and prevents over 70 diseases. Active ingredient: chlorothalonil. I sprayed that on one of my redundant mothers as a test. Also, I bought Ortho Ecosense 3-in-one rose and flower care, which is a spray bottle containing pyrethrins & sulfur. Haven't tried it yet but will test.
Well when I got home from Lowes and was checking out the plants, I saw that the milk really worked! No sign of fungus, and new, green growth on plants that were yellowing and spotted. A couple of White Widow seedlings which I thought were goners, are making a comeback! Not only that, but I also sprayed milk on my other, uninfected plants as a preventative, and they are looking much happier a day after their "milking".
So, all I've got to say is,

Got Milk??????????????

Shit, that explains why I didn't have powdery mildew problems until after the calcium deficiency showed up in my plants... I have since got access to better water with a ph of about 7.0 and the calcium deficiency has mostly ceased, but the mildew still shows up. Maybe it has more to do with all the fog in the Bay Area.

I am so happy to hear about the milk.

i have used serenade the past three years. it does not stop mold. it may slow it down but if the genetics of the plant aren't mold resistant, it will only help slow the mold. this year i am trying green cure. people will say all it is, is baking soda and water but there are more things added. hopefully this green cure will work a little better.
