Alza, what have you been doing to the plants? What is your ph? Directions for testing are in my signature below. What type of ferts have you been using? How much and are you adjusting the ph of the fert water after mixing? What is in your soil mix? Are the plants getting rootbound? Have you been using alot of phosphorus? More details will get you better answers by other growers.

looks like overwatered and nutrient issues, nitrogen and phoshosphorus and magniseum your plants are hungry and badly rootbound, they need a gallon size pot each for now

12 in tall plants per minimum 1 gallon size pots, check your ph too

what soil mixture are they in?

stop watering them so much too, how often are you watering>?

what nutrients are you using and how much and how often? if you dont provide anymore info you wont get your answers on how to fix it

are you using micronutrients since you are using distilled water>

if not stop using it and use tap water as long as its not to hard and not soft

distilled has almost all mineral content rmoved so you are starving your plants

20%sphagnum peatmoss
35%garden peat
10%worm humus
30%perilite
5%pre mix

nutrients are bio grow(8-2-6) feeding when pots feel light at 2ml per ltr every 2 days.

i am not using distilled water only for soil test...using tap water for grow and adjusting ph to 6.3

I transplant my plants many times. I notice as the soil dries out faster, they're getting closer to a transplant. If you need to water every 1-2 days, I would transplant.
Wether your new soil will have enough ferts or not, depends on the type of soil. You can buy pre-ferted soil, or soil without any ferts where YOU completely control the amount & frequency of ferts.

Theoretically you can, but you would need to do it very carefully. Else the plants could get in shock for some time. I once washed a plants 'roots (I filled a new pot with soil beforehand, then I took the plant out of its pot, washed the rootball under lukewarm water till all the soil was gone. Then I transplanted the plant into the new soil and after a week she was growing well again..). Avoid direct light on the rootball.

So I assume with hydro it's possible as well but do it very carefully, also you probably have to make sure the old soil is completely gone from the rootball so it doesn't pollute your hydro water.
