im just tired and bored of the same old men doing the same shit on here. Theres nothing going on with icmag compared to a few years ago compared to years before that!

Its just boring for younger folk like myself. The more of ICMag I see, the more i notice a few trends, the same people, the same nonsense and the horrible fact that most useful information is so dam cluttered by nonsense. some people "hang out" here... lol

Theres so much bullshit piled up its becoming frantic.

The breeder link is huge and my friends on here make me stay.

But I'm going to start a few new threads.

like 1 about 1 Home Depot shopping visit for PVC cages for ID 2x4 Trays.

And im going to do a simple, AACT thread because I couldn't find the most simple fucking information without sifting through tons of old garbage.

probably ganna do a trimming thread about how I trim since I'm proud of the way I do things.

And maybe start a Slab shot Contest thread thing. Since Errl is the new thing, Lots of people putting in work and great things being done. Would be nice to get the community a bit together to enjoy the stuff.

i used to look forward to coming here, if i missed a day or 2 it would take forever to catch up on everything, now not so much.

as for pvc trellis'
i like to use pvc furniture snap fittings for trellis making.
single and double tier.

found my heat issue and its the fan.

back pressure forcing air out the fan creases. Also blew a part of taped duct off the back of the fan. Was recirculating the hot air in the room instead of solely exhausting.

time to add the 2nd level of trellising and maybe get that sprout macgyver adjust-ability going

going to make sure the lights don't turn on and then i'll manually use the T5 while I shut down the air system and unmount the 8inch fan - Then tape it up like a crazy mother fucker so it won't blow the tape off over time from pressure and then re mount and monitor everything again.

I didn't wait for those, but I should of ordered them. but I do like my home depot set up. It fits precisely 2x4, now only if it had adjustable legs

What I needed to do was review my installation after the initial start up of the entire system.

In my eagerness to get things moving along and from multiple stressful factors I rushed a few things but the universe got my back.

Woke up at 5am and was pulled to the exhaust fan, like the air.
Something made me put my hands up there to feel something.
I don't usually wake up at 5am and check my exhaust fan. But alas it was what was needed! Taped that sucker up with half a roll of duct tape and now the temps are purdy!!!! AND STABLE!

I wish I didn't have 62" Plants to put under a 40" trellis. And that I had some room to flower out some Sour Diesel and the Lavender cut I got at the Kush Cup last year... Killed the mom - she got over grown my FTOG and couldn't bounce back - good thing I cloned that shit... no dam room for small plants. Might just add a crate to the isle and a simple IN-N-Out tray and just flower a few extra plants in the isle space...

I haven't had to turn on the A/C since the days aren't as hot as earlier with the heat waves, and night time temps are nice and below 70F. Keeps my room at 80F.

Duct tape ain't so much for ducts

You can't put a duct clamp on a Hydrofarm Fan Exterior...

And Id love to see a clamp that will clamp a carbon filter to the fan

Fair enough. Quite often, I read about lots of other halfway-serious growers on here who have constant heat/HVAC issues -- seems like lots of other people [who know what they're doing] also have the same problem with their duct taped connections coming loose.

If only they made something designed for the sole purpose of connecting a fan directly to a filter or silencer, with no ducting in between. If they did, I'd imagine it to be clamp-like in nature, perhaps a bit wider as to accommodate both the flange on the fan as well as the filter, perhaps with some neoprene so it'll give a bit to the vibration, .. IF such a contraption existed, I'd fantasize it to look something like this:

Or, if there happened to be flexible ducting in between the fan and filter or silencer, it would be so great if they made hose clamps in diameters like four, six, eight, ten, or even twelve inches.

thanks tho - got 2 of those big clamps ordered. Would of been so nice if I could of spent 20$ of those 2 clamps instead of on tape that I wasted a lot of energy and time using. Ahhh whats it matter, im a no body, and no body gives af uck about me.
