dear rubber chicken. To answer your question directly from someone who has a few years experience with autos here is my take:
Fast buds: Disappointed with results of gg4, cookies, green crack. they did not end up as great ganja, but did get you high.
Nirvana: bubblelicious and AK48. Nearly killed them with too much Fox farm nutrients. Just ok results.
Heavyweight seeds: fruit punch. Great plant structure and buds, but no fruit aroma and disappointing high.
Mephisto: Sour bubbly, Heisenberg special and deep blue C They benefited from my fuck ups on growing autos for the first time. Trimmed back on nutes and let the soil feed them mostly, used a little maxibloom on the flowering end but not much. Grown in organic pro mix, 2 gallon pots with two 400 watt lights( MH and HPS). Did not fuck up the dry and mason jar cure. Per my independent tester and I quote " Dad that's good shit"
Because I'm still disappointed in the yield I will be using larger pots, 3 gallon and they are air pots. Have Mephisto Hubbabubbasmellascope and double grape lined up.
Very satisfied I switched to Mephisto and will continue to use their seeds in the future. Per my son and myself " That's good shit" Could not say that about the three earlier breeders autos I tried.

Thanks.

Yeah, i have a reasonable amount of experience with autos, I know Mephisto is really good, i just haven't done much research on them the last 3 or 4 years.
So thought i would see if there was anyone else that was on their level.

Autos need room for their roots to grow otherwise they will generally be badly stunted (in my experience).

Yeah you are right ! Autos in small cups are often failed ones .
They need to go directly in big pots ! Special auto ones are long shaped . And it is strongly recommanded to mix 1/3 coco to your soil .

You need those to make 100+gr dry weed per plants .

2x sour diesel auto on the left & 2x ice cool auto on the right . Day18 .

a premise: I'm not a great breeder, I select with simple criteria:
- flavor and effect,
- resistance to diseases,
-appearance,
I usually give more attention to the sativa regular, but I like to have experience with the AF ...(I currently pollinated a purple phenotype with Oldtimer haze pollen)

Careful wd,
on the second pic(green pheno) i see some powdery mildew on the leaves. You're still in time to get rid of it, don't wait too much or it will spread quick.

Cheers

Not much to look at now but fingers are crossed.
First time for me growing any autos other than some lousy Low Ryder years ago.
These are AfterThought's Gomer's Mix. Started them in Solo cups and put them outside today.
Based on what the roots looked like I think I transplanted at the perfect time. Nice overcast misty day today, too. Perfect for no stress transplanting.

Corsaire made this strain and gave me few f3 autoreg seeds .
It was an interesting little plant so I decided to make some f4 .

Seeds are impressives around 4/5 millimeters each .

1st try at the f3 . ( other plants are auto critical from female seeds )
