where can these seeds be bought? and what did you do to make those things grow soo big. i hear guys saying that most autos only produce between 7 and 10 grams. Those things a monsters!
soil? nutes? light cycle? any help would be appreciated!

I used to think Autos only could yield 7-15gs as well but things has changed. There are plenty of good autos out there now that will yeild 1.5-2 OZ dry for you if you do them justice. Just have a look at all the journals here in the Auto forum and you will see that given good root space, light and nutes most will give you at least an oz back..

Here is an Himalayan Blue Diesel that is 38" tall, I assume it will yield at least 2 OZ....

They are still certain strains that will only produce a few grams but there are also strains that will produce a quarter pound.
I have an 400w HPS and an 150w HPSi on a 20/4 light regiment, I use Miracle Gro Organic Choice(No little balls of death!) as a medium and I feed with the Fox Farm Trio. Also I gave them plenty of root space with 8" diameter 2 gallon pots, I have noticed that people are putting autos in 16 Oz cups and I just think that is a waste. These plants that they are puting in these 16 Oz cups are yielding about 7-15g when if they were in atleast a 6" pot they would produce an Oz.

This was vegged in a beer cup for longer than it should have, it is over 3 feet tall right now. The cups have little to do with it if you transplant in time. The genetics also play a huge roll in the equation. I think it is a waste of "time" to fill 50 bags plant my autos then cull over half of them. Then i have 25 bags sitting there wasting space, when the soil could be cooking for the next run. And no i don't want to use fem seeds as these are just shined up hermi genetics.
I do agree finishing an auto in a beer cup is a waste of your space.
If you want big atuos hydro or a varation of, is the only way to do it.

I disagree that femmed seeds are "shined up hermi's", if they are made with CS then they will contain no male genetics making it impossible for hermi or male offspring to exist.
Though, as far as the issue of transplanting or not with non-femmed AF seeds, their really isn't much of a reason not to transplant other then the minor stress factor (I prefer not to for this reason hence my appreciation for femmed seeds) as AF's will normally show sex before being affected by lack of root space. Personally, I don't start my plants in anything smaller than a 20oz. cup as I do not want their to be any chance of them becoming root-bound for any length of time; although I rarely have a need for transplanting to begin with.

I agree with you on this. I see a lot of autos in party cups. It will cause a lower yield to the in experienced grower. I think though with the right care and a few tricks you could pull a decent yield out of one. I got 42 grams out of a 1 gal 6" pot. I think i could get at least 25-30 out of a party cup

Do i smell a challenge? Im about to start a new grow in 2 weeks and ill have to do one in a beer cup.

A female that grows male parts is a hermi no matter how you look at it. We can speculate all day long but until we can actually map the genome of cannabis, and figure out what markers mean what we are all taking stabs in the dark.
IMO If you used a female that grew male parts, to pollenate with. You must be passing on the trait to turn hermi and produce male flowers. I have got some nice non herm plants from bag seeds but i would never use it to breed with. I do alot of breeding so there is no point in me using "fem" seeds. I bet it has more to do with if the parents used have DOM herm traits. If one parent isn't herm dom then it is less likely to show up in progeny.
If you could show me that the trait was not passed on from the hermi female used, then i would agree with you 110%. I just don't see how those genes just get lost in the X.
Gsmoke: She is looking large. If you have the ability a HPS for flower will help the bud density. CFLs grow nice looking bud, but density lacks. Are thoes tomatoe ferts miracle grow?

ok thanks for the info man but my 300w red cfl is arriving tomoz u think that will help alot im guessing it will , no its not miracle grow its just cheap tamato feed NPK
