Show Me Your 600w C24

The Mills Pride Club is too long to search through.

Post pictures of your 600w (400w are welcome too :headbange ) cabinets.

I am planning on dividing the top part up, and putting some T5 fluoro's up there and have a few bonsai mothers :joint: . I believe the top part is 12" tall.

That is my stealth ventilation system. A plastic trashcan with lid, intake from the C13, into a hole in the lid, into my Vortex 4" fan sitting on a CAN33 filter. The fan is pushing into the filter, and there is space around the filter so the exhaust comes out the duct at the bottom of the trash can. So, anyway, the stuff around the can is actually a comforter that is tied with safety pins. This is to muffle sound obviously. This whole setup is running in a shed so to keep the noise down this was the best thing I could think of. I used to have the fan in the C13 and it was too noisy, even with the speed dial turned all the way down. Now my system purrs like a kitten. Total stealth.

At the moment, I'm working with 1 week old seedlings. So I'm running my 250 hps 18/6, off from noon to 6pm. Temps will run only a few degrees above ambient. This is fine until around noon on a sunny day. The temps in the shed, even in October, can run to 100 when the temp is 80 outside. But, this is only a problem in the afternoon. So, what I do is leave the light *and* vortex fan off from noon to 6pm. With the fan off I'm keeping the temp inside the C13 somewhat stable, while the temp in the shed is climbing steadily. I've had the C13 temp rise to around 90 when the shed temp goes to 100 and beyond. So long as I keep the seedlings wet I'm good to go. I pray for cloudy, rainy, cool October days, because then my C13 temps only range from around 77 to 82, which is pretty ideal. This is my 5th grow with this setup. It's pretty sweet. After harvest in January, I'll run the 400 hps 24/7 in February with 2 heaters for the next crop which I'll harvest in April.

This is my setup:

Mill's Pride C13 Cabinet

250/400 HPS Super Sun System with Super Sun Reflector

CAN 33 Carbon Filter

Vortex Inline Fan 4" 172 w/ speed dial

Space Heaters with quality thermostats

Oregon Scientific BAR898HGA Wireless Weather Station with wireless remote

I run from October to April to take advantage of the cool weather.

^^^ I think tokinsmokin meant visually. When I think of stealth I think of a cab that looks like a normal cab and nothing else. Something that you could have people standing right next to without them having a clue. When you have all that ducting coming from it it definitely looks like something's up.

Though you say you grow it in a shed so if you've done 5 grows with that setup then I doubt people visit inside your shed, or peek through any windows you might have, in which case it's probably stealth enough for your situation. But for most people on this site that put their cab in a place where people will occasionally be, that wouldn't be considered a stealth cab.

Ah, I see now. Thanks. I figure if someone gets in my shed, I'm screwed anyway. Also, that crazy thing is actually in the far corner behind my cab now. But, still, there is ducting going everywhere, bags of Foxfarm laying around, nutes, etc. So, yeah, I'm screwed. Should I tear down now? Will my ballast melt and burn down my shed? Do my neighbor's already know? Paranoia will destroy, yaaaaaah!!! LOL!!!!!

There are 5 senses we should all address:

1) Sight - It's in a locked shed, what is there to see?
2) Sound - My "stealth" fan/filter system is quiiiiiet.
3) Smell - My CAN33 filter is kick-ass!!!!!
4) Taste - Lick my shed, go ahead.
5) Touch - You can fondle my combination lock, if you'd like.

So, really, unless someone breaks in, I'm cool. The same fears I've got (e.g., fire, break-in) are the same as the rest of ya. Roll the dice, pay the price, whatever. We're all doing that to a degree. Sound and Smell were the biggest priorities for me, and I got dat nailed.

It's all good...now, let's see some other cabinets.......

You're right abbiedoobie, it's all good. I've never seen two of the exact same cabs, we all make them according out our individual situations and needs.

I suppose my latest cab is ready to post.

cab size W36" D20" H80"
400W dig ballast, MH for veg, HPS for flower
6" vortex on speed controller
2 8" darkroom louvers for passive intake
homemade carbon scrubber

I'm also in the process of installing 4 small electromagnetic locks wired up to a remote controlled power switch and hooked up to an APC backup power supply. Reason for these is a bad incident a couple years ago with a snoopy chick. She was able to pry a corner open and see a bright light. I tore down my grow and took a year break. Now with 180lb locks on the top and 130lb locks on the bottom holding all corners shut tight, it will be tamper proof.

I've sat inside my cab with the fan on and doors shut and the airflow in there is wonderful, no fans needed inside.

yeah icough got it right, thats what I thought you meant as stealth, for your situation though that is stealth. I'll show you my previous cab which is pretty much the same as the one I'm building now, and I'm using the same electro-magnetic locks as icough is with a wireless remote to open the cab. As well as some insulated ducting this time around. Heres pics.

sorry i gotta agree with this one, if it aint all linside the closet or atleast mostly inside then your stealth goes out the window.

cause honestly you can pretty much tell something wierd is going on in that cab. now i am not saying that mine is perfect in anyway, and i do ahve a couple light leaks, but i would rather have a couple light leaks than that! dude, the ballast isnt hidden, timers out, its not even worth mentioning the ducting.

the thought did cross my mind so i have to say, if i was a ripper, i would have taken your closet , and all those bags of ocean forest over to the left of the cab , and left the plant with a 60 watt bulb hanging over it, so thats all you would have seen when you came into your shed.

certain aspects of stealth are there, give you that hands down, but everything else. . c'mon dude its obvious what you got goin on, so where is the stealth? now -icough2getoff- has the stealth thing down, i wish i had THAT goin on, now THAT cab is stealth

Obviously you didnt read the whole thread did you? Its in a locked shed where nobody goes. He just needed to control odor and sound which he did.

Well look who's back...

Hell yeah, sitting in my cab makes me wish I was one of my plants. This time around I have 4 blue moon rock f2s. Would have a couple more plants but couldn't find the rest of my seed stash.
