Should I worry about becoming rootbound?

The girls are all about this size now and under a 1k hortilux. I plan on switching to 12/12 in a week or so. Should them becoming rootbound be an issue? I would hate to have to transplant if I dont need to, but I would hate transplanting deep into flower more. Thanks guys!

What size pots are those...1 gallon?I'd use a 3 gallon to 5 gallon container per plant if I were you.

they are 3 gallon, i think the pics are not from the right angle to show the proportional size. I just took these to ask about the leaf coloration. BTW I will be adding epsom salts to my next feeding

I'd try and transplant some and don't transplant the others and see how that goes.

more root mass=more bud, always.
repotting two, three and even four times will give a nice healthy full rootball.
3 gal should be good for your plant unless you veg for long periods.
you could always pull the plant out and look at the roots.

lol,

look at some of those bottom leaves. Some of the ones on the bottom left are still as green as the top ones. doesn't N def. cause the bottom leaves yellow from the bottom up?

That problem is affecting the top leaves just as bad as the bottom ones. That baby is stressed.

I use New Earth Custom Grow 7-9-5... should i add superthrive also? I will pull the plant and check the roots too. Thanks!

i've never used new earth custom grow 7-9-5. what are the dosing amounts and how often? why do you feel you need to use epsom salts?
if you use superthrive just be aware that the stuff is pretty potent and easy to over do it so remember that a little goes a long way.

This is why I was thinking add epsom salts...

I know superthrive is extremely strong, have used it in the past. I hadnt thought about it to cure this issue, but if you guys think it will do the trick I will when I next feed. I was also told to up the amounts of nutrients per gallon as I have been using a sort of weak solution. Thanks again

TrustNoOne is right, Superthrive is VERY STrong and is extremely concentrate.... don't eyeball this one, make sure you measure out the 1-2 ml per gallon..... I've burnt the crap out of plants with superthrive alone....

come to think of it they didnt show this until they went under the 1k with a somewhat weak nutrient solution. That could very well be the issue. Should I add superthrive, increase my nutrients or both?

do you leave 'em out in the sun at all? if yes, do they reach for the sky?? or are they always droopy like that??

matt, i'm not saying to use superthrive or not to use it, just don't overuse it.
i don't use it in soil myself but there are plenty around that do.
ok, i see you're in promix, which one? does your fert have micronutes?

id try some superthrive if i were you. I have one plant thats looking like shit. Lower leaves were going to crap, and it wasnt just a simple def. But its been about 4 days since i used superthrive and the plant seems to be responding. Worth a shot imo.

it does have it's uses though and some swear by it. ive used it in aero cloners and got some of my fastest rooted clones. the stuff ain't cheap tho, and thats probably why i don't use it, heheh
