It's tragic when people lose their lives. To put it in perspective, In San Francisco during a 3 week period in October 2014 there were roughly 48 Aggravated Assaults. Many if not most of those were forcible rape and sodomy.

sanfrancisco.crimespotting.org/

Everyday about 122 people in America die in car accidents. Roughly the same number of people who died in the Paris attack. In fact, by the time the news coverage on Paris died down, about 7-10 times more people died in america in auto accidents vs. the Paris attack - and, in less than 2 weeks.

If the news were legit, they would tell you this:

You are more likely to die by being struck by lightning than you are to die in a mass shooting.

A Mass shooting is the lowest risk of death in America. Actually, spontaneous combustion is the lowest. Nobody died from that in 2015, so it's hard to tell if it should be on the list.

More people individually died by falling trees, lightning strikes, falling out of bed and smoking in bed, rather than by a mass shooting in 2015.

Homicide by any gun at all? About 10,000 people died from gun homicides in 2015. About 5,000 people died while texting and driving in 2015.

Why doesn't Obama fly in wearing a cape every time someone dies while texting and driving. Where is the military presence to protect us from cell phones? You guessed it, it's all pretty much absurd.

You are three times more likely to unintentionally poison yourself, than you are to die from gun related homicide. In fact, you're three more times likely to kill yourself than you are to be killed by someone with a gun.

90,000 people died from hospital related infections in 2015. While 10,000 died from homicides. You're 9 times more likely to die going to a hospital than you are from a gun.

You are 30 times more likely to die from cigarette in America than you are from a firearm. In fact, eating poorly is at least 30-40 times more likely to kill you than firearm in America.

Doctors accidentally kill people 20 times more than any kind of gun in America. At least in 2015

Mass shootings are the least likely way to die, and the most sensationalized on the news. In fact, there is less than 1 per month by averages. Really, it seems like there would be a lot more in a country with 300 Million people and nearly a gun for every man, woman and child.

an excerpt from nbcnews:

The dead suspects were dressed in "assault-style clothing" and were carrying assault-style weapons and handguns, Burguan said. He said an officer was shot in the confrontation but didn't suffer a life-threatening wound and was expected to be OK.

Multiple sources from multiple agencies identified one of the three attackers at the resource center to NBC News as Syed Farook. A person named Syed Farook is listed in public records as a resident of the Redlands address from which police tracked the SUV involved in the shootout.

Floralheart how does comparing shooting deaths to others help? Those are separate issues with their own unrelated solutions. The thing that's killing people that the world is concerned about is people with guns shooting innnocent people. Its a tough problem but we as humans have come so far and solved great problems. Why can't we solve this one. Nothings impossible and this is the modern world.

To point out that you are not likely to die at all from a mass shooting. To point out that a mass shooting is the least likely way to die in America. Unless you spontaneously burst into flames.

There is nothing to solve. 57 annual deaths in a population of over 300 million is insignificant, unless you are among the relatives of the dead.

On the original question, Perspective and Priorities, for starters. The security of America is worth far more than 57 lives. Even 500 or 5,000. If we send 200,000 troops overseas, it has to be at least worth that many lives.

If it is true that 57 people dying is a problem, you must certainly cancel your membership to this website immediately. As already in 2015, over 23,000 people have died from all drug abuse in America. In fact, if proportionate, you should be 400 times more offended by this web site than by mass shooting by a gun. Me? This web site in no ways bothers me.

It's simply not what I would ever consider a problem, unless I or someone I know was involved in a mass shooting.

0.0033333333333333333% of Americans died from a gun in 2015. From any gun. It's not a problem, unless you or a loved one was a victim.

0.000019% of Americans died in mass shootings in 2015. This is what we call mass hysteria. Pointing that out means everything.

In November 2015, the total number of police killings surpassed 1,000. That means that 10% of all gun related homicides in America are committed by police officers. In fact, you're 20 times more likely to be killed by a police officer than by a mass shooting. 1 in 10 Americans killed by gun violence are killed by police officers and government paid shooters.

Pretty much all I have to say on all of it, other than wow! That's a mind blower. All of it. Wow.

http://www.mintpressnews.com/776-people-killed-by-police-so-far-in-2015-161-of-them-unarmed/209127/

Maybe members of the media should be fined and arrested for inciting panic? Aren't politicians supposed to do the opposite of what they are doing? And finally, you're 500 times more likely to have your kid kidnapped or disappear in America. The day that 130 people died in Paris, 1,000-2,000 kids went missing in America. Priorities people. Priorities.

Entry into the building, you needed an ID, or key to get in. This particular area where a luncheon was going on (rented space), no key was needed. Inside job (my opinion), plus they came heavily clad. (armor/guns) Very sad.

Hello all,

The law is searching door to door for a possible third suspect in San Berdo...question are will legally supposed to allow cops to trapes through your home without a specific warrant? Or are my rights suspended?

minds_I

If I was in the area, I would politely refuse a police search if they didn't have a warrant. I'd try to get the whole thing on a live video stream. If they come in anyway, they're coming in. I'm not suicidal.

Putting video evidence online of them violating my Constitutional rights wouldn't mean much, but that's the most I could do. I'm not going to actually fight to stop a heavily armed police force from searching my house.

There are two different dudes getting roasted on Twitter for being Sayed Farook. The DailyMail is the only place that I have seen post a pic of Sayed. He looks nothing like the two dudes being accused on Twitter. This kind of misidentification is dangerous. I feel for those two dudes who were misidentified as the boston bomber. They were splashed on the front pages.

I was about a mile from the shooting. Having a bad day and then this shit.

No offense but I about knew it was Muslim related on hearing about the shooting before any info on the shooter was released. Other people were saying how do you know? I am a genius that is how.

He may have had a beef with the people he worked with as well but this was jihadi type stuff imo. May come out I am wrong but really doubt it.

There was a triple homicide 2 years back and in March of this year another triple homicide, both within a mile or a bit more from this latest shooting. Gangs. Violent town.

""“He was quiet but always polite,” Maria Gutierrez told The News. “Maybe two years ago he became more religious. He grew a beard and started to wear religious clothing. The long shirt that’s like a dress and the cap on his head.”

.

Did everybody know there was another mass shooting the day of the "planned Parenthood supposed" shooting? Wonder why the news didn't cover it? Wonder if the news will cover this shooting, once they figure out it was a Muslim?

Did you guys know in Chigago, there were 80+ shooting the weekend of the "planned Parenthood" shooting? 15+ dead? Just everyday business for the inner city thugs. Those are minorities that vote democratic, look the other way people.
