@FTL i saw you say the other day you were into sci fi. I wouldn't mind getting a couple of good sci fi books. Do you have any recommendations? Only sci fi books I ever read were the Dune series and 2001. And Aldous Huxley/George Orwell dystopian future type stuff.

I was just thinking about Chocky by John Wyndham 5mins back actually.

Also Peter F Hamilton , Fallen dragon (I really like all his books but this is a good tie dipper before getting into the meaty trilogies)

Phillip K Dick can’t go wrong with anything by him.

Not sci fi but Anne rices Memnoch the devil is fkn cool, very philosophical and psychological.

Edit I’m reading William Gibsons Neuromancer atm…. He is like the grandfather of cyber punk…. It’s pretty good so far

Ive read dune 5 times over the last 30 years…. And it was a different book each time.

Amazing how my time of life/mood made the different aspects stand out in new ways.

The whole series is worth reading again and the movie with sting is also a classic

I found it a bit superficial and boring as a teenager cause there wasn’t enough pewpew and spaceships and princesses on leashes ….. but second time early 20s I went into another “layer” of the book and the enjoyment increased each time I read it

really low on energy this week.

surely got something to do with finally getting paid for a major job i have already completed and getting a paid in full advance for a job i still have to do.

when the bank account is finally ok to look at without getting a constant feeling of impending doom i always start realizing how tired i actually am.

postponed a deadline today and now i'm really looking forward to start reading dune this weekend. preferably with a cup of tea in bed and or on the couch.

The 2 movies made recently by Dennis Villeneuve were awesome I think, pretty close to the source material and very high artistic value. Especially the visuals and the music.
