no, i fit my whole drum in the freezer space with plastic tray underneath, however the components that make the drum are metal , the frame and the side magnetic opener etc , that stays cold for an extended period after removal from the freezer .This particular hash I won't know for a while. Resin will cure like that for a couple more months, then I'll heat it and press it until it's black and gummy, and then I'll let it cure for as long as I can before I touch it again, at least 6 months. I'm following my friend Raco's directions for the cure. He is like the Spanish Hash Gandalf
After this I made a few more passes but the quality goes down. I did try the lowest grade one and the taste is pretty amazing I must say. PCK is very tasty and seems to dominate most if not every cross. The effect is narcotic and a little strong for my taste. Smoke it and go to bed pretty much. Especially compared to the Lebanese, Moroccan etc. The taste on those is milder but the effect a lot brighter and more cheerful, which is what I'm looking for. Right now the machine is tumbbling my Sinai trim and lower buds. Hoping to be finished soon so my friend can use it over the weekend.
One thing I don't like about this tumbler is the plastic tray. Seems to me the resin sticks a lot to it and I have to freeze my credit cards to be able to manipulate it. @shiva82 did I read you saying you were using a metal tray of some kind? Or did I make that up? Do you freeze your tray too so the resin is easier to work with?
If I end up buying one for myself, I will maybe cut the bottom off the machine, and set it on a sheet of glass.
