cheapest quickest method is to warap the pts tight, and use a peg to seal the top without damaging the plant , or stitch together , or tie together. magyver it

i have to battle gnats years round as i have windows open , i have a large compost bin outside, i always growing more plants, new soilm i have all kinds of projects going on, so it is not practical or cost effective for me to wrap every stage of pot, etc . so i some what live with them. i just kill them when they get out of hand

if i just growing a few plants , then weed barrier fabric everytime when using biodegradable matter that may attract gnats
