i find women actually like it. my mother even finds it funny
i find it refreshingly oldschool.
most of the new stuff is pretty terrible.
i tried watching a series called obliterated. sounds cool actually, a bunch of special agent dudes and dudettes think they saved las vegas from an atomic bomb getting off and party pretty hard with various substances. then they get a call that the real deal is about to happen and they go back to work while working through their intoxications.... far from subtle hehe

i find the acting, cgi and style is all wrong these days . nothing organic. some of the storylines could be great

i can only watch comedy tbh , bar the odd special something

Remembers me of watching blair witch project and walking through a dark night home after the movie. I had to pass a lonely mountain or walk 1 to 1 1/2 hours longer so I chose the thrill 😁
Man, that was spooky but fun.
I always fought my fears

You know that movie?
The time machine was one of my favourites at school next to brave new world.

No, I dind‘t know that there is a series.

When I read the book, I wasn't aware that it was criticizing current affairs. I was still naive enough to believe that it was fiction. But if you look at how psychologists manipulate people through advertising or how public perception is steered by the media, then things become clear. In Germany, the public media have been caught training journalists on how to steer public opinion. The training materials have been leaked.
Have you seen noam chomsky's manufacturing consent?

I'm not normally into horror and gore and things like that. I made an exception for this movie to see what my friends are watching. And I have to say, I love this movie. It shows very nicely how misunderstandings arise when people don't talk to each other. It's a wacky comedy, but I had a great time.

the series does a great job creating a modern parallel to the original. The Native American Indians are replaced by modern cliche Americans “we love freedom and guns and junk food” lol

societal manipulation is at least as old as society itself. Religion is the original control mechanism of the masses after brute force of course.

No I haven’t seen it. Will have wee look see edit: watched first 10secs......” hearts and minds“
