You should have told the boy no one with a limp handshake is going to be dating your daughter and then taught him the proper way the first time you met. Changed his life for the better.

Squeezing hard is equally pathetic though.

i agree that its not about the squeezing at all, its about the scissoring that happens on the tendon between thumb and index, and a firm grip is just a bonus to round it off. like a well executed high five that shows appreciation and respect for a fellow person.

people who squeeze hard intentionally are the worst. especially when you cant see it coming. i see it as a sign of weakness.
