The discussions about climate change and its solutions are so unobjective in Germany that you would think you were dealing with a cult. In Germany, for example, the calculations on CO2 emissions from cars that political decision makers used do not take into account the entire supply chain, the realistic total service life and disposal. The environmental damage caused by the extraction of rare earths has finally been addressed more often. But that has always been very bland in the discussions about
Nuclear power also has always been very flimsy. If the disposal and dismantling of nuclear power plants is passed on to the taxpayer, then nuclear power may actually be cheaper.

In the long term, I think only a reduction in the population will help - not with coercive measures, of course, but with incentives. 1 to 2 billion humans and earth will regain itself, as scientists say.

we are nearer not having enough co2 , to having too much co2. co2 is the gas of life. i'm all for cleaning up genuine pollution though .

Doesn't sound conclusive to me. In the last 100 years, much more CO2 has been emitted by all the cars, heavy industry and power plants. Or are you getting at something else?

destroying private ownership and private business stage by stage . leaving only the corporation and monopolies to control our lives

carbon monoxide, and all the other toxic gases are not co2 . we have recapture systems anyway

we are made of carbon ffs
Well, I think global warming is real and I see that as the biggest problem, not the toxicity to humans.

Look, when I was a kid in the eighties, there was lots of snow every year. I sometimes built a snowman for Christmas, which remained standing until March or April. We went sledging every year and skated on the lakes. There was a lot more snow than there is today. I still remember it very well, because as a teenager I regularly had to clear snow from a large plot of land and the sidewalk by the road. Nowadays it snows maybe two or three times a year in my region and then it hardly ever stays.
The snow in the Alps is also decreasing and it is part of the water that is now missing in the surrounding countries when it is very hot in summer.

Did you also have a lot of snow in the eighties and nineties or not?

Don't just focus on the grievances. If you scratch coal enough, you will find diamonds.
There are many fine people who have a good character and stand up to protect the general public . And there is an old German saying: much enemy, much honor.
And the world would be boring if humanity consisted only of monks and nuns. Or even worse, civil servants 🤣
