same here with my first cat, but he rarely spat out furballs. depending on the food they just shit it out pretty much.
i give them malt paste once in a while as a treat.
i have two boys so maybe they dont groom as much with their funky asses...
i try and groom them regularly when fur change is at peak.

I like the idea you read sometimes that dogs and cats own us and not the other way around. They have evolved to have human slaves to give them food and rub their belly.
You could also say that cannabis evolved in a way that because the chemicals are useful to us, we will ensure the species carries on. For our own benefit but also the plant's.
