Must say i watched nearly nothing this year... but 2 weeks ago i looked for the actual season series and this anime catched my attention:
I don't wanna spoil but if you are ok with something pretty crazy and really disturbing you'll be good with this series, don't be fooled by the cute girls!
I loved and hated it at the same so i watched all 12 episodes. ^^Ahh you already posted some dark stuff while i was writing.

I played a lot of FF from part 6 to 12. First was 6 on the SNES around 1995, was a good addition to my school english since it wasn't released in german language.

I got really really really much animes on my hard drive, a few hundred i think. Theres a big german website which was operating in the gray area for a long time so very few animes with german language or even german subtitles. So most of what i got is japanese with english subs and i watched a lot of english/american DVDs from the library and today i always watch movies in original englisch and animes in japanese + english subs and it's almost like i would read german subs.
English is definitely easier than german, shorter. Sometimes when i'm thinking about a word the english word comes first in my mind before german.

Man the subs and dubs Issue is what slowed down the distribution of anime to the world. Hopefully AI will solve this.
