really, no nutes eh? Thats not what I have been told...

Ganja Pasha is absolutely right.

If you are using good soil, you won´t need any additional fertilizers for the first weeks.

I would also recommend to get your seedlings out of those jiffy pots and transplant them into bigger containers with new soil.

Instead of overwatering them even more by trying to flush the nutrients out, separate the soil from the roots as carefully as possible and put them into fresh soil.

You don´t need to get rid of all the "old" soil, just try to remove as much as you can.

Avoid overwatering the plants too much.

This is on the one hand provided by transplanting them into bigger pots, and on the other hand by waiting until the top of the soil feels dry before you water them again.

They have a good chance to recover.

Best wishes for your grow, and please keep us updated on the progress.

yea usually i give them a drink every day, i have given them any nutes since i began flushing them but i do have some clonex clone solution and some nitrozime that I could give them. So you suggest I let the pots completely dry out before I water them again and maybe give them a little bit of the clonex and nitrozime?

never water every day thats noob garden stuff.

let them wilt then water them, thats noobish too but it helps you get an idea of when to water. I still let them wilt in veg makes the roots REACH.

miracle grow soil already has nutes in it to help you get it through seedling stage...no need for any added nutes...if you add nutes your gonna over fert them which i see you did from the leaf burns....i start some of my outdoor plants inside with miracle grow soil sometimes cause it's easy and cheap...normally you won't need any added nutes until about 14 days or so then when u do add nutes start at like 1/4 strength to see how it responds.

also you never want to water everyday cause because you'll stunt the roots and get root rot.....overwatering sucks....your roots need to go through wet and dry stages...make sure you poke drainage holes in your cups or have them in your containers so the water can drain and not pool up like a pond.

water real good so the soil is drenched...then let it totally dry....then water until its totally drenched....then let it totally dry.

after awhile you'll know if it's time to water by feeling the weight of the container....and your plant will tell you when it's time because it will slightly droop...you'll notice the leaves starting to droop first, then the branches....then when you give them their good drenching they will perk right back up like rockets...sometimes you can dang near see it happening lol.

i wouldn't keep flushing them right now cause all your doing is keeping the soil wet which is most the reason they are like that anyway....i'd let them dry out real good and transplant them into a bigger container then start watering like i mentioned....after that you'll be golden....peace

Miracle Grow soil is not good for growing pot for the reason that it has chemical ferts. But also th ferts are time released and since you dont know how much of what and when you will be playing a guessing game of what your plants need and even more so if your a first time grower.

So when you transplant them into bigger pots do yourself a favor and a good soiless mix

Thanks a lot guys, I really do appreciate it, I just looked at them and the 8 older clones seem to be doing well and the ones that were really yellow are beginning to turn green. But I have a quick question: What soil should I buy? I have worm castings I want to mix in if that helps but I don't want to buy an expensive soil that has added nutes in it like foxfarm. I figure im gonna need about 180 pounds of soil for the 24 plants, does that seem about right?

Buy coco. Or any bag labeled seed starting mix. Double check that there is no fertilizer in it.

***edit***Sorry scratch that, just realized you need 180 pounds. Better go visit a farm....

I would transplant quick into soil with no fertilizer in it because by the look of those plants, they won't be around much longer for you to transplant.

btw, that MG soil is way too strong and frying them. They have definitely gotten worse and I don't see signs of recovery. Even the newest tips are burnt. Those sativa haze are definitely toast. They are very nute sensitive, as are most sativas.

The ferts in MG soil are very potent and time release - you can't flush them out. If you water them every day you will kill them with overwatering. Everything everyone here said about letting the pots dry in between watering was 100% correct.

24 hrs is not enough time passed to determine if plants are recovering....

Sorry to have to be the one to tell you this, I hope I am wrong.......

Um they were completely yellow 2 days ago, then yesterday they became green in the center, and today the green is spreading. So I think you can tell if they are improving

everyone here is just trying to help

24 plants and a 180 a pounds of soiL?????? ok mate

try getting some 1.5 gallon pots(round and black with holes in the bottom)

fill the 1.5 gallon pot with black gold organic(its in a orange bag and certified by ORMI(organic research matieral institue) comes from canada)

water very heavly the first time and watch a slight brownish water come out the bottom. then let the plant completey dry out all the way(if you need hellp to test get the same size pot and fill with dirt then water fully and lift it, then compare wieght of that to wieght of container with plant in it) should be able to see if the plant container is much lighter it needs water. make sense????

as for miracle grow i can easly explain what happend to you

the more water miracle grow gets the faster the ferts release so by watering it everyday you made a very rich high fert soil that the plant cant even come close to uptaking, besides that all the over watering and heat makes it already very hard for the plant to get the little bit of nutes it wanted to began with.

and if all the ferts anit gone when you harvest expect the buds to burn poorley and taste awful.

to address your issue do you have unlimited space??? because 24 plants in alot of good soil will get very large. try 1.5 and veg the ssh untell it is maybe 1 1/2 foot tall then transplant it to a 3 gallon pot and flip the lights down.

6 foot tall veggin sativa in a 3 gallon pot of black gold organics went from 6 inches to 6 ft in a little over 30 days so its quite fast......

try the black gold for veg you wont be disapointed just make sure you water really well the first time or you might get all sorts of ph problems in those dry pockets.
dont feed anything in veg with black gold just transplant if the plant looks hungry.

and yea superthrive is a drop per gallon

try 1 drop per gallon every other watering

and like everyone else said you really better transplant them, next time you water the MG time ferts might come out and say hi again.

lmmfao....miracle grow soil slow release ferts aren't even strong....the problems aren't even soil related...it's way more then that....i know you guys are programmed not to like miracle grow soil and nutes....and their is much better soil forsure.....but i've started THOUSANDS of seedlings in miracle grow soil that i've kept indoors in cups for 3-4 weeks before putting them outside with no problem....ever.

that being said i would never use MG soil for an indoor grow....ever.

so, are they improving?

Yea, I had 16 ssh to start with and 10 look like they are going to make it. Also I had 8 Mouzarshariffs and 7 are good but 1 didn't even make a root. Im planning on taking them outside in 4 days and i was also planning on making my own soil. I was gonna buy a soil with no nutes in it and work in some worm castings and perlite and give it tea I make that consists of Seabird Guano, a drop of superthrive, some nitrozime and some IONIC grow for soil. I made some of that tea for my widows that are already outside and they seemed to like it.

How many bags do you think I should get if I'm going to dig 2-2 1/2 feet holes with a radius of about a foot for each plant (17 plants) Or do you think I should use a different soil if I'm growing them outside?

well are you going to have access to these plants because if you plant and dont go back your yields will be small because you have to feed the plants when they are in flower when using black gold. sierously though for vegging its tops.

i by the 2 cubic ft bag so picture basically a 2 foot square of dirt so it sounds like youll need a bag per hole maybe its hard to say it also depends on the size of containers that are going into the dirt.

if your doin it in your backyard this shit will work awsome.

That stuff sounds great man. However for this grow I already bought quite a few nutes and additives so I don't think I'll be needing it. But I'm gonna try black gold on my next indoor grow. I have some flowering nutes too so I might just keep a clone indoors and try that soil, we'll see. So you don't have to add any nutes at all to the soil during veg?

1 drop of superthrive per gallon is the recommendation.....

they might be getting too hot under that HPS......this could be the problem......many people use good old fluorescents for this stage of development.....

Yea city water is a problem.....for the seedling stage, go out and get some "Spring Water" or, to be absolutely sure, go get some "Sanfaustino" brand mineral water.....they love that stuff.....if you can get Reverse Osmosis water, mix RO water with a smaller amount of Spring Water......be sure to test the pH......this is very important......possibly you have stunted/unhealthy seedlings due to a high pH.....Spring Water is closer to our target pH (6.0-6.3) and Sanfaustino water is guaranteed to be pH 5.9 (another benefit of using Sanfaustino.....no pH adjustment necessary)....

Keep Dope Alive!!!! :smoke:oOoO

:ying: kind regards from guineapig :ying:

This guy has it your gave them 15X as much superthrive as your suppose to.

nope just transplant them if they yellow at all.

3 gallon pot with a 6 ft plant and the only thing its ever had was blackgold
at this point i transplanted to i think a 7 gallon container then i sent it to the flowering room. and tied it down, within 3 days all branches were up and i had maybe....... 15 tops? then i hit it with some pure blend pro(flowering)

anyway for a tip dont water so much honestly/.

go with your plan but these plants dont need as much food as you think, you cant really force these plants along.... they dont like it.

SO I just took some pics of my plants. The first one is of all the Mouzarshariffs

This is a pic of a slowly recovering one

AS is this one

This is a pic of the 3 super silver haze clones that were hurt the most (see earlier pages in this thread)

and here are close up pics individually of the hurt 3 ssh

I don't know if the 3 ssh's will survive, but going 13/16 with the ssh'sfor my first time working with clones then nute burning the shit out of them wouldn't be that bad. But I keep tellin' em, KEEP ON FIGHTIN!
