6 days ago, a terrible occurrence in the land of my closet, where happy young plans roam my fresh carpet pastures. With a beautiful warm sodium sun, they were destined for bud glory. But out of nowhere from the shadows of the night, a beast hath striketh! Some claim deficiency? I say Nay! I say pH imbalance but I would like the help of the founding fathers of this magnificent site. Should I tell you what I've been feeding them and for how long? I shall, I give the clones a mix of a gallon of city water per 15 drops of SuperThrive, and give them drinks to keep em wet once every 2 days for 6 days. The first 3 pictures are on day 7 of rooting and the last 3 are on day 11. Anyway here are the pics

to much superthrive... give no super thrive to them any more.......

dont water them so much let them dry a tad and make the roots go searchin for that water

what kinda holes are in the bottom of the cup??? next watering take a bowl of water fill it full and set the cup in it(make sure water is atleast 1/3 of the way up the cup) water it from the bottom let it sit in water for maybe 20 seconds.....

What substrate/medium are you using? What brand of soil mixture are you using?(percentage of perlite, vermiculite...etc?)

What is the TDS/EC/PPM of your nutrients used?
What is the pH of the "RUN-OFF"?
What method of pH test was administered? Using Strips? pH pen?
How often are you watering?
When was your last feeding and how often are you feeding?
What size bulb are you using?
What is the distance to the canopy?
What is your RH Factor? (Relative Humidity)
What is the canopy temperature?
What is the Day/Night Temp? (Include fluctuation range)
What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.)
Is the fan blowing directly at plants?
Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist?
Is your water HARD or SOFT?
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water?
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched?
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when?
Are plant's infected with pest's?

1 drop of superthrive per gallon is the recommendation.....

they might be getting too hot under that HPS......this could be the problem......many people use good old fluorescents for this stage of development.....

Yea city water is a problem.....for the seedling stage, go out and get some "Spring Water" or, to be absolutely sure, go get some "Sanfaustino" brand mineral water.....they love that stuff.....if you can get Reverse Osmosis water, mix RO water with a smaller amount of Spring Water......be sure to test the pH......this is very important......possibly you have stunted/unhealthy seedlings due to a high pH.....Spring Water is closer to our target pH (6.0-6.3) and Sanfaustino water is guaranteed to be pH 5.9 (another benefit of using Sanfaustino.....no pH adjustment necessary)....

Looks like over waterin , bad PH , high nutes and all causing a serious lockout and then seems like heat is also building up and in need of some fresh air and air ciculation. Also maybe drop the superthrive . Wheres Sticth when ya need her LOL

thanks for the help guys, so yea i have been flushing them and they appear to be making a recovery. I should have pictures of them up in a day or two

Yea i was gonna say overwatered but i forgot.....

its tricky to get the hang of how much water is appropriate for seedlings.....you want to get the soil moist but not too moist.....

also, which kind of soil is that? is it a store-bought brand?

Hope all is well......remember that stunted seedlings can recover and i think that if these guys survive they will eventually do very well once they are transplanted into larger pots and your pH issues are corrected.....

yea its nothing special, just some miracle grow potting soil. But when I transplant them outdoors, im adding seabird guano and worm castings into the soil, not too much.

I really hope they recover!

So here are some updated pics. The first 3 photos are of a purple strain and these clones are on day 16 and I have been flushing them for the past 3-4 days.

The last 2 pics are of super silver haze clones who are on day 12 and also have been flushed for the last 4 days. These are the least healthy ones and It doesnt look like they can recover. Can they???

Btw i have just been giving them store bought natural spring water that has reverse osmosis ( gallon jugs) when ever they seem to be getting a little dry

^^ that will be a really slow recovery, but possible. flushing for 3-4 days? Is that every day? i would hit them with some really really low nutes (1/4 maybe) and let those pots dry out pretty well. good luck!

yea usually i give them a drink every day, i have given them any nutes since i began flushing them but i do have some clonex clone solution and some nitrozime that I could give them. So you suggest I let the pots completely dry out before I water them again and maybe give them a little bit of the clonex and nitrozime?

If you are using MG soil, they don't need any nutes at all, just keep giving them plain water, if you also added guano and worm castinsg to the soil, then you're not gonna need to feed for a month at least, so just keep em on plain water and I'm sure they wil bounce back. Maybe put more holes in the bottom of the cups to allow better drainage.
