Love the rubbermaid sogs looking at doing the same myself major difference is I like a large res at least 55 gal. It helps with stabilizing the ph and temps.
Also another way you could put air in the water is to go to lowes and get some of their small sprinkler heads in the irigation department and run one per tub the splashing plus a waterfall in the res does a bangup job.
Anywho looks super I will be watching
ya welcome eth tis why i take pics really, so i can see the differences more clearly too hehe
ey BadT, the temps did get bad n took their toll on the roots. hopefully they make it through as it's gettin cooler outside now. having the grow elsewhere makes it hard to do an fix what i need to, which is alot with a newb handling things there.
howdy mushu, most of the short tubs i came across were around 8 gallons. this is alot better than DWC at say 18 gallons... doin a sog like that would be ALOT of water yah. plants are doing just fine in the smaller amount of water, plenty of rootspace...
jello welgill, thanks for chimin in... i have two airstones in each bucket as a precaution, but am going down to 1 airstones per to save on money an because i don't think both are needed with said waterfall in the res. which is a 40 gallon res and lasts plenty of time (though less n less haha) to keep ph n ec stable. but hey, a bigger res is always nicer eh.
well check yas all later when i have updated pics, till then... smoke on.
Oh yea u know u could change the reservoir water more often or ad some airstones to pump some more air in there. Helped wid my G13. Altho they were too far gone, the roots smelled like poop.
I can't wait to build this. This is what I have been looking for. My room has 5 and a half ft. of height. How far up does this system have to be placed. I don't want a flood on my hands but even with cool tubes I'm going to be cutting it a little close I think. Thanks Ralph
