Regardless of floor space, I can say every inch of height is useful. For me, the 24x48 fits 3 plants, two in the 24x24 is a squeeze, so1 large in the 24x24.

I never quite got square spaces right. 48 x 48 I'd be trying 4 large. But yeah I'd probably end up with 6 out of a combination of impatience and greed. But then someone running an interior air con / dehumidifier would use the same space differently.
