What is the optimal height of cannabis plants usually?
I don't think there is one. It's optimal size for conditions. As you get bigger from the small sog, your returns reduce as a percentage of plant size. So optimal for the plants, would be rows and rows of small plants under small lights. But then man hours, equipment and electricity become the limiting cost. Bigger plants bring efficiencies on those fronts, but reduce gpw and percentage of plant sellable. Which brings waste disposal issues. So it's all about finding the happy medium for the space being used. There again, I'm speaking as a personal home grower. The commercial warehouse guys will give you a warehouse based, commercial answer that's right for them.
