Yep, theyre gonna be pretty small and stealthy, if the slugs and/or deer will leave them alone...
These tiny oldschool autoflowers usually wont exceed 2 feet height even under optimum conditions.
Greenhouse Seeds claim theyre done in 6 weeks from sprout, makes for a shorter time window to get eaten up.
I'll check on them by end of August, too much work to do, theyre on their own now.

edit: seeds were 4 bucks a piece so no biggie..

Good luck on those autos zap! Unfortunately with my lack of skills and from a bad spot and planting too early my little auto patch kinda shit the bed. I have two tiny underwhelming plants I spent too much time on for what i know will be a small yield. Good thing they were freebie seeds

Anyway, my photo plants in a different spot (and also my first outdoor grow) are doing pretty good. Planted most of them June 1st- 11 total- 10 reg seeds popped and sex unknown. I come back after not visiting for the past 3+ weeks and suprisingly no real animal damage despite no cages on 3/4 of them. The surrounding vegetation definitely made a comeback while I was gone lol- Almost thought half the plants were gone. Having a real streak of beginners luck here and the overwhelming majority of the 10 plants are female, only one suspected male so far almost all the rest have white hairs. Need to transplant my last seedling- popped a Twin Turbo Diesel (AJSD x Chem 91) by HSI a week and a half ago and looking for a spot, just waiting to confirm the male is in fact a male hopefully uprooting later today. I've been aggressively cutting back the surrounding weeds/ferns/brambles with a hedge clipper by hand but the weed pressure will most definitely be high for the rest of the season. Good thing most of these are females because I just amended every hole with bone meal, blood meal, tomato food, worm castings and a bunch of compost 2 days ago. Spraying later today with some fungicide- unfortunately I have noticed some leaf spot on a few of the plants and it could easily spread- the biggest plant is still only up to my belly button so far- most of the rest about knee to mid thigh height.

Any worries about spraying fungicide on weed that you'll be consuming before long?

Yeah kind of.. I don't really know what to do i've been wondering how to proceed- I didnt want to have to spray anything but i feel like its there is no other way to keep healthy plants, weather here is rot central come harvest and theres a bunch of leaf spot in the surrounding vegetation. I don't like the idea of spraying either but from what I've read/understand you kind of have to a lot of the time- correct me if im wrong tho. I don't have many ideas and its getting late in the season so I just went a head and bought this bottle for 6 bucks- I'm kind of hesitant to use neem even but I guess if its in veg it can't be too bad. I mostly want to try to colonize the plants with some fungi that will compete with the dreaded ones. If all else I can use this bottle on my veggies too, I tried to go for a more mild product so they say you can spray up to the day of harvest (not that I would personally).

Open to and would like any suggestions on stuff to use-preferably organic. I will have to read more about methods to control fungi etc with baking soda spray but I am trying to target bacterial leaf spot at the moment-not sure what will control it best. Will have to remove those infected leaves too.

Edit: Going to try to make some LAB too, I know there are beneficial bacterias you can spray- Ill have to do more research but im a bit out of my depth right now.

Very nice construction of the swamp tubes. May I ask why the tubes aren't filled to the top?
Thanks! Most of the tubes are filled probably about 75%. The first round i put in, i was a little short on medium, mis calculated how much i would need to fill the tubes. next round i brought more, filled them much higher but still not all the way up.

I didn't fill them to the top to protect them from deer while they established their roots and started growing strong.

Got a dozen doing fine. I'm glad I used the mower to cut a walking path because it would be impossible to get to them.

I think these are purp god bud or something like that.

The large fork has it's tines shortened to fit in a book bag and a cover fitted. The cover is simply a bit of pipe. The middle tines go in quite sloppy fitting holes, but the outer two holes are drilled a little too close together. Thus, the tines need straining a little to get them in. The force of which keeps the pipe in place.

The hand saw should be quality. Bahco this one. A sharp saw does the work, so you don't have to. Invariably a lesser saw will bend as you are trying so hard. A good brand will also carry spares.

The folding sickle and sharpener have been great. You don't swing it. You kneel and hook it around perhaps 20 nettles ahead of you. Then pull it towards you. In time you develop a method of taking the nettles under-arm, as you just stoop and cut. I have tried many other tools that looked more promising, but size, weight and speed of use are balanced nicely. It clears a meter in about 6 actions. Perhaps 30 seconds.

Plastic scoop. Lightweight and metal is useless with wet clay. It just sticks.

Metal hand fork, as plastic won't bust through roots. I put a strip of gaffer tape over the tines. Coming home, it goes in the file box (in the link)

I love seeing people tools. Some homemade, some store bought, and I can usually add one to my own kit.

One thing I always forgot to bring was SOMETHING TO DRINK. lol. As my crops got bigger, I always included a good lunch. An 8hr day in the field is a bitch if you don't properly plan for it.

I don't mind spraying, but once the stretch starts, nothing gets sprayed other than lacto bacillus or other foliar feed. Even then, once flower is underway, I give it up to mother nature and get what she gifts me.

Yup my thoughts exactly-just started a ricewash 2 days ago will be spraying LAB as soon as flower hits. I think what I sprayed helped, almost no leaf spot to speak of today. I came across a post of yours on a leaf spot thread suggesting sulfur dust which I'm trying in a few days. Didn't want to use liquid copper yet as there's a couple toads I run into at the spot and it might be toxic.

Don't want to count my chickens before they hatch but so far I've been spoiled tremendously by her. I seem to have a ridiculous streak of beginners luck going this season. Here's a small update from last weekend- somehow it would seem that out of the 10 regular seeds by 7east genetics a total of 9 are female! Pulled the one male Grape Dragon last weekend and have white pistils on every other plant- unless they herm/are intersex its pretty silly how many females lol. Total of 12 plants- all females. Just transplanted a HSI Twin Turbo Diesel and a 2 node cherry dragon clone last weekend. I will be happy with the season if i can harvest even 1/3 of these plants to be honest but hopefully most make it all the way! For reference the hardware cloth is 3feet tall above the ground.

7East is about an hour away from here. Great genetics for sure. I have some of his nebulis kush in the ground this year too.

Dope! Glad you think highly of them- I found them one day when looking for mutant lines and bought a bunch of their work. Really regret not planting that nebuliis kush, i lost a seedling and didnt pop more- would have rather planted those than the Headstrong X BlurryFace freebies.
