anywhere else besides tel aviv to find hps and mh lights?

anyone ever ordered lights from the net? grow products?

i still have a big collection of seeds but do not know it if would be adviceseable to have someone mail them to me. great strains there, from cantarelas to colombian cripi.

Soil, humus, pots and gardening accessories you can get at any major nursery or at the Garin.
Fertilizers and lights and stuff like that I get from hydro shops. I like hydro grow better than the rest.
All hydro shops have stores outside of tel aviv.

i would recommend trying to construct one only if you are good and familiar with diy and have proper tools. otherwise, you'd be better off getting a tent which will cost about the same or a little more, provide better sealing and functionality, and not take up 2 days work.

from my experience :\

you can get lumber from carpenter shops in industrial zones (they always have those just look for them or ask around or check dapey zahav). if it's a good shop they'll cut you the wood for no fee, though i actually think it's fair to charge a fee for that, and of course tip.

bombadil - first of all of you have real issues the best consult you can get is from shlomi sandak,he is an activist in the field here and he's helped tons of people get help and mainly focus them, what the doctor told you is true,in israel right now the way of dealing with pain is first trying all the legal pills and only if they didn't work you will get a treatment through weed, meaning you have to take pills first no matter what doctor you will see, this subject is the main arguement going on in the medical field, their are alot of doctors fighting for people like u right now so they wont have to go first through all those evil drugs but sadly the drug companies bribe and control so many doctors that it's very hard to make that movement happen,i have a very close friend that was in a car accident a year ago,he had multiple system injuries and until today he's still waiting for three surgeries so he can continue therapy on the rest of his injuries,he was already on the strongest drugs in israel so he called shlomi sandak, talked to him and he reffered him to a certain doctor that is known to be more open to the subject, but the only reason my friend got the prescription right away was because he was already on the strongest opiate in israel and it wasn't doing the job,so she had nothing else to do but give him the prescription,in your case i would call shlomi sandak,i'll ask my friend for his number and give you and, talk to him he knows best but i want you to know that you might have to try other things before,(not dikur sini) but bad pills yes... i have another friend who is post traumatic... because of his military service and until today he's still fighting to get the prescription because he wont let them give him the other pills first,he's right of course because the other pills make him suicidel and weed doesn't!! but sadly right now that's the normal procedure here... it might change but in time....
and about growing permits -their are growing permitts in the country but they are very rare,i have a friend, another injured soldier,he had a permitt and then they took it from him... so he sent his mother and some how his mother got him his permit back... i know it's funny but it's pretty much like we would do in the army,if you would go to the shrink and nobody would listen the next best option was to send your mother :) she would do the trick... who can argue with mom? :)
i hope it helps you a bit and as soon as my friend will wake up i'll post you shlomi's number...tell him all the details so he can help you the best way he can.. hope you feel better man! everybody deserves the right to help themselfs live better!

Shalom le culam :)

thank you for the feedback everyone.

angel, ok, I begin to understand better the situation; I thought the medical cannabis movement here was similar to that of the U.S. I knew from vague stories that it was not easy to get a prescription, but did not know that growing permits were so rare and difficult to obtain. I'm sorry to hear about your friends' conditions too; it should not be that way, specially when scientifically speaking, we already know how well cannabis works for so many different conditions and how safe it really is.

to tell you a bit more; I have various things: a hiatus hernia, nerve damage and risk of high eye-pressure (glaucoma).

in my country of origin, I already went through all the more normal methods to deal with the constant pain from the nerve damage; from taking pain-killers, all the way to acupunture.

the degree of severity of my hiatus hernia is very high too, so it causes pain, as well as acid-reflux (which all degrees of hiatus hernias cause btw) so taking strong pills like pain killers is simply inefficient; since the help they can provide for the pain caused by the nerve damage is deleted by the strong impact these pills have on the protecting layer of mucus in the stomach and aesophagus, causing even more acid reflux and hence ulcers.

so taking pills everyday is not an option.

also, with surgery, hiatus hernias cannot really be solved, since the success rate is extremely low and not worth the risk. I was directly adviced by the dean of the medical faculty in one of the best universities of south america to not submit myself to surgery because of this.

on the other hand, cannabis not only treats the pain of the nerve damage and hiatus hernia very well, but even helps me regulate and balance my body's pH, hence also helping a lot with the acid-reflux. plus, it helps the hiatus to relax and work more efficiently as it should, controlling the passage of stomach acid into the aesophagus, hence lowering a lot the risk of ulcers.

no need to mention the great benefits obtained by the use of cannabis in regards to keeping in check eye-pressure.

so basically, in my particular case, cannabis can 'kill' three birds with one single stone (pun intended :D ). with literally zero negative side-effects.

having this in mind, I went very confident to my appointment with the doctor, but the guy did not want to hear about any of it, and actually behaved like a little child afraid to see the facts of the matter. it was a sad sight to see, an old man like him with so many prejudices and willful ignorance; and specially a doctor, it is laughable how uneducated the guy was and even how rude he was with me. I kept my cool though, and ignored his lack of culture and manners. One good thing I think, is that he wrote in my record that I asked for medical cannabis.

I can understand if the doctors are supposed to first recommend you other treatments before prescribing cannabis, but first they need to know what are the patients' symptoms, how the patient tried to treat them before, what are the patients' experiences; none of which this doctor did; moreover, what makes a doctor treat a patient rudely and unprofessionally? surely not the protocols he must follow.

thank you very much for the info on Shlomi Sandak, will keep my eyes open :)

shabbat shalom le culam! :)

my friend i feel your pain,if you have all these treatments and documents on official paper i'm sure that the doctor that saw my friend will help you
there are some doctors out there that help, one takes alot of money so he didn't go to that one
insted he went to a female doctor,i'll ask for her name and give you it
if you have already gone through all this in the states it's recomended you have that on paper from your doctor, maybe even try talking to your doctor in the states, tell him the situation and ask him if he can write a letter explaining your history and directing it to "israeli health service" or something,in israel all you need is that any doctor will write "this man needs marijuana" in simple terms, for that reason there is a huge propoganda actually run by the head of the health department or one of the heads... sorry i don't remember which one it was,and there you see him telling doctors how irrational it is to give patients first harsh medical pills and then a plant.. it's insane making some one go through devistating pills insted of trying a plant that has proven itself time after time to be better and not as harmful,so it might change but it takes time, new doctors need to get into the system and old ones need to leave the system and that takes time, especially when most of the young doctors in the country leave to diffrent country's for better pay and living opportunities
most important is to have everything on writing and hopefully they will accept the documents and not make you go through the same thing twice... it will definetly cause you alot of suffering on the way
i hope your medicine will arrive as fast as possible dude i'm sure it's not easy having all that to deal with
i would write more but i have to go..feel good man and toke one up! :)
